I love fragrance but I am very picky about what I like these days! I used to have so many bottles of perfume but in recent years I got rid of most of them and everything I own and use now fits on a small tray in my bedroom. When I heard of the DefineMe fragrances at Ulta my interest was piqued- these sounded really interesting to me, especially since you can mix and match the scents and layer them. It sounded very Jo Malone to me, minus the high price tag!
I am absolutely enamored with these. I have a duo set that includes Sofia Isabel + Audry. Although at first glance these look like they are going to be spray bottles, they’re actually roller balls. This particular set is called Girl’s Night.
Audry… jasmine, peony, rose + sandalwood
Sofia Isabel… mandarin, black currant, jasmine + sugar
DefineMe fragrances say they are made with love, fragrance, and fractionated coconut oil. Neither the packaging nor their website goes into detail about actual ingredients. I try to use less toxic options whenever possible with my fragrance, and was interested in knowing how much “junk” these had but I was not able to track down a list of what these contain. Despite not knowing how clean these are, the fragrances are beautiful and I am really enjoying them. The notes in Audry remind me a lot of Ralph Lauren Romance– fresh and soft, and Sofia Isabel is very much a delicious, sweet scent that smells yummy without being too over the top. The fragrances are both incredibly long lasting. You are really getting your money’s worth considering that these will last over 24 hours on my skin.
Best yet, DefineMe is more than just a fragrance- it’s a movement. For every full size bottle purchased, $1 goes to a non-profit that provides educational scholarships to girls in low-income countries with the goal of creating first-generation graduates and our next generation of global leaders. With so much sadness going on in the world, it’s nice to know that purchases I make can actually make a difference to someone in need.
Have you seen these at Ulta? Sofia Isabel is my favorite but I would love to try more of these scents!
