Laura Mercier has long since been one of my favorite brands. For whatever reason, I don’t think I’ve covered their launches in a little while but I haven’t stopped loving them and today I have some of their summer beauty to share with you.

Laura Mercier Summer 2016I have a few items from summer for them plus I’ve been scoping them out at Nordstrom and Sephora, and it appears I’m not the only one enamored by some of these products. Sephora was out of stock on a lot of these when I was there a couple weeks ago and most of these products had huge divets in them from people who are trying them in store. I can’t wait to tell you more!

The Foundation Primer Blemish-less is something I’ve been using every day lately. I talked about it last week in my post on brush-free makeup. I apply this to my face after my skincare and before makeup and it makes everything stick like glue. I don’t have any current breakouts because I’m using a lot of acne products to keep my hormonal preggo acne at bay, but I love that this is giving me that extra skincare boost while priming my skin for makeup. It’s totally non-drying and non-irritating and I’m really loving it. Primer is a step I often skip but I like this one enough to stick with it on a daily basis.

Laura Mercier Colour Dots Lip and Cheek SheersThe Colour Dot Lip and Cheek Sheers are another newfound favorite. I surprised myself with how much I really liked these. They come in three shades- Sangria (sheer, bright tangerine), Fruit Punch (sheer, bright coral), and Tequila Sunrise (sheer, bright pink). These blush/lippies are a sheer gel stick. I didn’t think they would wear well over powder, as sometimes gel clings funny, but I was wrong. They’re great! These provide just a soft amount of color to the cheeks, but they apply like a dream over anything. The look they give when first applied is wet-ish. Whether I’m wearing cream or powder based products, I have no problem getting an even and gorgeous application with these. They’re slightly buildable in color and look really natural on. On the lips, they apply shiny and glossy but the color doesn’t last as long. If you buy these, buy them for how much you like them on your cheeks.

Laura Mercier Bronzed Butter Face and Body VeilThe Bronzed Butter Face & Body Veil in Gold Lust is gorgeous! I don’t always take that extra step to bronze up my body, but once I tried this, I was inspired to reach for it all the time. It’s a cream product and smells like vanilla frosting. It’s sheer and gold/bronze toned. The shimmer is micro-fine and so pretty. I am reaching for this all the time to wear on my chest and on my arms. I have big plans for the body veil- I am getting some maternity pictures done and I can’t wait apply this over my entire body to really give off a gorgeous glow. If you are someone who likes to regularly get their glow on with a highlighter on your face, why not make your whole body glow in the same way? When I am on the go I don’t always care to have glowy legs but when I’m going out or I’m going to be in pictures, I want to look my absolute best! And of course it helps that the scent makes me want to eat it!

Laura Mercier Baked Blush Illume in RoseThe last product I have to show you (and probably my favorite of the bunch!) is the Baked Blush in Rosé. This seems to be sold out everywhere! This reminds me so much of Laura Geller’s baked products. This is super gorgeous and has a beautiful shimmer to it. It’s finely milled but has some slightly bigger chunks of glitter. This is a bit more intense than the Jane Iredale Rose Dawn that I love, but less intense applied to your face than in my swatch below. I’m wearing it in the pictures at the bottom of the page, but as more of a blush topper. It’s got more glow than color to it so if you want to look like you’re wearing a blush, it helps to wear something with more pigment underneath!

Laura Mercier Summer Launches swatches 2016Left to right: Tequila Sunrise, Sangria, Fruit Punch, Rosé, Gold LustLaura Mercier Summer lookOn my face I am wearing the Foundation Primer Blemish-Less, with It Cosmetics CC+ Illumination over top, set with Clinique Blended Face Powder over top, and with Tequila Sunrise on my lips and cheeks. I have a slight dusting of Rosé over my cheeks and I applied some of the Gold Lust to my chest. It’s pretty subtle in this picture but in person I promise it wowed!

Laura Mercier Summer 2016 launchI’m really in love with these items! What are some of your favorites? Have you sprung for any of the summer items yet? I’d love to hear which ones!
