With summer in full swing, I thought I’d mention one of my favorite brands that I’ve been using a ton of products from lately. It Cosmetics* is a brand that I’ve grown to love in the last few years since I’ve discovered them. What I might love about them most is that they are on QVC, so you can get a whole bunch of their full sized items bundled at a super low cost. I am always finding new products that way, and once you figure you are getting 5 or more pieces at once for $50-60, you are really paying drugstore prices for amazing high end products. Oftentimes their deals come with their makeup brushes too, which is especially awesome considering theirs are some of the best brushes on the market.
Confidence in a Cream Moisturizing Super Cream has been written about a few times since I’ve discovered it. It was developed with plastic surgeons, the leading experts in skin rejuvenation. It is awesome for skin year round. I can attest to this because I first tried it in the winter and I used it for months and now we are in the heat of summer and I am still enjoying it. It’s rare that the same face cream I am using in the winter works well for me in the summer too. I discovered it first as a part of It Cosmetics It’s Your Bye Bye! Collection and I recently wrote about it as part of my nighttime skin routine as well as in a post about moisturizers that are super hydrating for dry skin that won’t break me out (a problem I have in the winter).
In the summer, it’s all about cream products, and that’s why I am in love with using the CC+ Anti-Aging Créme Blush. The shade I have is Je Ne Sais Quoi which might have been limited edition with one of the QVC sets. But it is great. I love that it has a smooth and soft finish and it wears beautifully all day long. When I am looking for a natural flush on my cheeks, I reach for something like this in the summer time.
I haven’t put down the Sunshine in a Compact in Warmth since I discovered it a couple months ago. I’ve literally worn it every single day! This bronzer has a beautiful finish with no glitter or shimmer. It’s a perfect matte shade that keeps my skin looking amazing because it doesn’t settle into my fine lines, and it has lots of awesome ingredients. Leave it to the plastic surgery doctors to know how to make skin look great. I certainly love the bronzer they have created!
I don’t contour daily, but I’m considering it a summer staple this summer since I’m pregnant. I am nearing the end of my pregnancy and I am starting to notice the weight gain in my face. On days I am doing a full face of makeup, I will reach for You Sculpted! as my contour.
This is a great palette for those of us after a more natural look. I do like having highlighted cheekbones but sometimes the brighter than a lightbulb highlight just feels like too much. I wonder when I get professional pictures done if I will still like them in a few years if I am wearing as much highlighter as is currently in style. You Sculpted! gives me a grown up glow and nicely sculpted facial contours without coming across as trying too hard. I also appreciate that this doubles as a great nude eyeshadow palette. It’s subtle but really pretty and it’s goofproof which is just one more thing to love! I’ve been applying this palette to my face with the Heavenly Luxe You Sculpted! #18 Contour & Highlight Brush which is on par with the rest of the brushes It Cosmetics carries and I pretty much adore it!
Last but not least, I am reaching for my CC+ Illumination on a pretty much daily basis since I got a replenish for the summer. It’s got great, buildable coverage and SPF, so what’s not to love? It’s pretty much my favorite foundation on the block at the moment and for as many summers as I can remember it’s been my go-to.
Do you have a favorite makeup brand? Do you have staples you are reaching for right now? I’d love to read about them in the comments!
