Popsugar sent me this box as part of a collaboration. Opinions are my own. #Musthavebox #Sponsored
I used to subscribe religiously to a few different beauty boxes, but in the last couple years I realized I had too many tiny little samples laying around cluttering up my space, and I often didn’t use what I was sent. I cancelled them all. I have kind of missed subscribing and having the chance to get a special little something with my name on it delivered to me monthly. This month, I got June’s PopSugar Must Have Box in the mail and it reminded me why I always loved subscribing in the past!
The Must Have Box has a nice assortment of lifestyle items, and sometimes beauty items. This month, the beauty item was a nail polish. It’s fitting that this month would be the NCLA Born on the 4th shade, with lots of red and blue to be festive for the upcoming July 4th weekend! I am not a huge nail polish wearer, but I’ll keep this and use it on my toes to celebrate on Monday! (Value= $16)
I admit, I had good intentions of saving the Sriracha Pressels for a picture, but they didn’t make it. I preggo binged on them! Like a regular bagel would, these tasted great with cream cheese as a dip. These particular chips have less fat and sodium than other popular brands, so that’s always a plus. I would totally buy these again if I saw them in the store. I wish I could show you, but the bag got tossed somehow even though I was keeping it for a picture! (Value= $1.29)
The “Who Am I” Quiz was probably my favorite item in the box. My husband is big on games and most of the time he gets full reign of choosing which ones we play. I love that I have a game to pull out of the stash now too! This one is a cool, guess-the-celebrity type game and it’s all ones that I know like Victoria Beckham and other people from pop culture. (Value= $12.95)
The Knock Knock Are You Ready Compact was really cute. One side is a regular mirror and the other is a magnifying mirror. Perfect for a little purse compact, which is exactly where it went! (Value= $10)
Pacifica Underarm Deodorant Wipes are a new concept for me. I have to admit I haven’t tried these yet, but they’re supposed to be great for travel and have an aluminum-free, vegan formula. I’ve been using natural deodorant so I’m really intrigued by these. I think I’ll throw them in my gym bag! (Value= $9)
“Cheers” Gold Bottle Opener is so fun and chic! I love the way this looks displayed and it would be the perfect gifting item (and at the perfect pricepoint!) for a hostess gift or holiday. I love the gold and it’s very on trend! (Value= $12)
Last but not least, the Printed Sarong is by far the priciest item in the box. It’s big and you can use it for a swimsuit cover up for summer, as a head wrap, or whatever you like it for. I like the neutral pattern and I thought this was really cute. I typically would not spend very much money on an item like this so for me it wasn’t the most amazing value. However, it’s super soft and I know I’ll use it. Probably for a blog prop or something like that. I’m not much of a sarong girl! (Value= $58)
I liked this box! It makes me want to subscribe again. The hard thing about this box is that it’s $39.95 so if you don’t love most of what’s in it it can be hard to eat that cost. What’s good about the boxes though is even when it’s not a total hit for me, I always find a way to use the items, or regift them. I keep a box in the closet of little giftable items that I find on sale and then I always have a gift on hand. I think the bottle opener and a bottle of wine would make a great and easy impromptu gift. And the hand mirror and a lipstick would make a great stocking stuffer! So even if you’re not using the entire contents of a monthly box like this, there are always ways to regift the items in a unique way.
Popsugar also now has a Mini Subscription for $18.95 that is really intriguing to me! The contents are fashion, beauty, and home. So cool! If I go back to being a subscriber, I may go that route.
What did you think of the box? Would it have been a hit or a miss for you?
