What’s your nighttime skincare routine?

Dermatologist Solutions™ Nightly Refining Micro-Peel ConcentrateMy routine seems to be ever changing, but currently I’m keeping it pretty simple! I have been using just three things on my skin every night. In the springtime, my skin is usually pretty happy. I’m not dealing with being parched from the winter anymore so my skin is pretty evenly balanced. I’m all about maintenance and keeping the glow to my skin. To me, that equates to an eye cream, a serum, and a moisturizer. Easy peasy.

My nighttime serum that I am using lately is a new one by Kiehl’s, the Dermatologist Solutions Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate*. This is not your typical serum that would be for hydrating or smoothing the skin out. This is a nightly micro-peel concentrate. It’s very liquidy and doesn’t really have a slip to it. I apply about a half dropper full all over my face and neck and seal it in by applying a thick moisturizer. Lately, my moisturizer has been this one that I had laying around from last summer. I’m trying to deepen my skin tone just a touch now that sunny days are here, and this was a favorite last year so I thought I would pull it out again.

Dermatologist Solutions™ Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate by Kiehl'sSo far I’m really digging the Dermatologist Solutions Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate. I’ve only been using it for about a month, but some of these deep seated pimples I’ve been suffering from on my chin lately (thanks a lot baby #3!) are going away and I’m noticing my skin looking more refreshed and the texture feeling smoother. The purpose of a micro-peel is to reveal fresher skin by increasing cell turnover. This specific formula uses Quinoa Husk Extract for its exfoliating properties for that purpose. I’m loving the improved texture of my skin and the fact that my skin is staying balanced while using this. I’m not seeing any increased dryness which I thought for sure I’d have to suffer to get these dreaded pimples to go away!

According to Kiehl’s this is definitely something you can layer with other products over top. I may try it in conjunction with another serum now that I’ve tested it on its own. Between this and the Clinique products I wrote about earlier this week, my skin’s in pretty great shape at the moment. Some may think it’s my pregnancy glow, but I know better. I have to use great skincare to have great skin whether I’m pregnant or not!

Have you ever tried a micro-peel? What did you think? I think you’ll love this one by Kiehl’s!

I’ve been avoiding peels because of my ultra sensitive skin and rosacea, but this sounds nice if you don’t have that issue.

For some reason, no matter the product I try of theirs, it just doesn’t agree with my skin. It makes me sad. I’m happy this works for you.

I’ve never tried a micro peel but I have a problem with those dreaded stubborn acne so this may be worth it

I’ve used a lot of micro peels. I think they do a ton of good for my skin.

I haven’t tried a micro peel before, just your traditional peels and peel pads. Kiehl’s products always seem to be great though, and I’m sure this one will be a bestseller!

I’m a big fan of Kiehl’s products, but I haven’t tried this one. Sounds really interesting, especially for my oily, blemish-prone skin.
