What hair products do you use for over processed hair?

I wouldn’t necessarily call my hair over processed, but I do heat style from time to time and I like to ombré my hair every couple months. It’s a really low maintenance ‘do that allows me to keep my hair fairly healthy, especially near the roots, but the ends have been bleached and toned I don’t know how many times since I’ve began coloring it like this. I try to keep my hair as healthy as possible so it’s important that I am using quality ingredients on my hair. Recently I discovered the Coconut & Moringa Oils line* by Madam C.J. Walker Beauty Culture. What hair products do you use for overprocessed hair?I’ve been using three products from their line, and so far so good. The Coconut & Moringa Oils Curl Shampoo is my favorite of the three products. The scent has notes of woods, coconut, and sweet vanilla. I love how much it suds up for me despite being sulfate-free. For being simply a shampoo, my hair is left so soft I almost feel like I don’t need a conditioner with it! The Coconut & Moringa Oils Curl Conditioner is still a great treat for my hair. Despite having the same note scents, it smells a little more natural/earthy to me. It has a lot of smoothing qualities and I can tell that it is really sealing my hair in a way that I’m not getting nearly the amount of dreaded frizz I normally do in hot weather.

Madam CJ Walker Beauty Culture hair productsThe last product I’m really enjoying is the Scent & Shine Coconut Oil. It’s a super fast absorbing treatment oil. It doesn’t lay on my hair and weigh it down, it just adds shine and softness instantly while smelling really nice. I think this product would be especially nice for refreshing second or third day hair or for short hair. It doesn’t have silicone so you’re not going to get that product build up or heavy feeling from this at all.

These products have been pretty good to me. I have been using my Nume Classic Wand a lot lately for a messy wave and I am liking how well these products jive with my hair when I wear it that way.

Madam CJ Walker Beauty CultureIf you are doing a lot of heat styling or have over processed hair I think you’ll love the line as much as I do. The specific products I used are for curly hair, and they work great for me despite my hair having more of a loose wave than a tight curl.
