I’ve been dabbling more and more into the high end world and LOVING a brand that is new to me, Le Metier de Beaute*. I have been so behind on blogging in recent months between life just being super busy and finding out I’m pregnant with #3. I’ve been enjoying Le Metier de Beaute for too long without sharing though, and I was starting to feel guilty on holding out on y’all for finding some GREAT makeup items new to me and not filling you in. So let’s jump right in.
I tried six of their True Colour eyeshadows and three of their Hydra-Créme lipsticks. Not a single shade, texture, or formula has disappointed me and I found at least a few new favorites among them that have worked their way into my every day makeup routine.
First I want to touch upon the eyeshadows. The True Color Eyeshadows I have are singles and they come in a large pan. They run $30 apiece so they’re not a cheap buy by any stretch, but you’re paying for quality and for some truly special and unique colors. These come in finishes that include matte, shimmer, and satin. They are incredibly beautiful and very easy to use. No fall out, vibrant pigmentation, and perfect in every way.
Fire Lily is one of my favorite shades. It is just so gorgeous to look at and even prettier on brown eyes. When I first opened a few of these shades and saw shades that were more in the reddish tones I kind of thought…ehhhh I don’t know about these. They’re SO pretty but I didn’t think they would look nice on me. I thought I would look like I had pink eye. But that’s not true at all. I will show you swatches below where you can see how these shades just come to life and they’re so beautiful that you can’t wait to pop them on your lids.
River Stone is another shade that became a fast favorite. It’s a perfect matte brown crease shade for me, pretty standard but also a staple in my makeup bag. I can’t tell you the amount of times I have bought a palette that doesn’t have a matte brown transitional shade which I really NEED to have as an option to feel like my eyeshadow looks normal on me. Crushed Ice is probably my absolute favorite find of all, which is a pretty unusual choice for me typically, seeing as though it’s a bright white shimmer. But truly, don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. I never knew I always needed to be wearing this on my inner corners until I tried it and now I can’t look back. I’ve worn this on my inner corners every day since I’ve discovered it and I feel like I look weird without it. It’s kind of like how I didn’t pencil my eyebrows in until five years ago and now I feel twitchy when I look at a picture of myself pre- eyebrows.
Sea of Seychelles is that gorgeous ocean blue shimmer and the only one I really haven’t played around with that much. I don’t go blue on the eyes all that often but I can’t wait to play with it this summer. The next time I am feeling adventurous I will be wearing this as my wash of color for sure!

The Hydra- Créme Lipsticks have also been a special find. There is literally NOTHING I love more than a high end lippie. It is the perfect splurge for me. Every time I go into a department store or a Sephora ready to make a beauty purchase I seem to be eyeing up a special lipstick. At $32 each these definitely fit the bill for a luxe lipstick and I am totally in love. They are buttery smooth, yet the formula has some cling to it so it doesn’t slide around on the lips.
There are lots of stunning shades within the range but one of my favorites is Rose Garnet. It’s an easy everyday neutral pink shade that I have grown to love. So flattering and it works with every single makeup look I put on with it!
Maraschino, Last Tango, Rose Garnet
Le Metier de Beaute is becoming a fast favorite brand of mine. I have yet to check them out in store but they are available at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom. We just got a Nordstrom in the Milwaukee area and I’ve been meaning to check them out again. I will have to see if they are carrying Le Metier de Beaute local to me- could be dangerous!
Do you have your eye on any of these? Have you tried this brand before?
