In my last post, I talked about some skincare by Belif and mentioned I was testing out a new cleansing oil by PurErb*. I wanted to talk to you a little more about it today, now that I’m almost done with my 1 oz. bottle. I just discovered the brand PurErb recently, and this is the only product I’ve tried so far. After trying the Vitality Deep Cleansing Oil I was intrigued and did some reading about PurErb. The brand was created by aromatherapists and masters of herbology and their balms and oils perfectly synergize with Meridian facial massage. You can read more about that here but essentially Meridian massage focuses on improving Qi, the body’s natural flow of energy, and this practice dates back to the 3rd century BC.

PurErb Vitality Deep Cleansing OilSince my skin gets really dry, I like to use a cleansing oil to remove my makeup, and then I’ll follow up after with another cleanser that’s not an oil to remove the residue. On a really dry day or in the morning to refresh my skin, I might only cleanse with an oil. I’ve been following this routine for a couple of years now and it’s worked really well for me. I’ve used almost every high end cleansing oil that’s on the market at this point so I can say I definitely have a background in what a good cleansing oil looks like!

This is a rinse-off oil cleanser. It’s a thicker oil than many others that I’ve tried. I would compare the texture to something like Fresh Seaberry Oil, which seems like a fattier oil to me. The scent is lemony, and the formula features 15 botanic ingredients. Among them are Abyssinian, Moringa, Geranium Kukui, Frankincense, and Sacha Inchi oils. I haven’t heard of most of these oils but one of them strikes me in particular- Frankincense. I’ve been wanting to add this oil to my skincare routine for a while now because it has some awesome skincare benefits. I have the Young Living version of Frankincense and it’s weird to me to just apply that stuff everywhere (plus it’s expensive and stinky to use by itself) so I like that I can reap the benefits of it through the use of a cleanser.

This is such a luxurious cleanser to use and I love how it leaves my skin feeling amazing with each use. It washes my makeup away completely with no trouble at all, it smooths and soothes my skin when I use it in the morning to refresh my skin. It hasn’t broken me out, has left my skin feeling supple and looking glowy, and at the same time my skin feels clean, not weighed down by an oil. Like I said, I’ve tried many cleansing oils, and after using it almost a month I can say this is one of the better ones I’ve tried.

PurErb Vitality Deep Cleansing Oil ReviewMost of my gripes have to do with the packaging. I tried the 1 oz. size ($9) but there is also a 6 oz. size ($32). It’s in a glass bottle and there isn’t a great way to pour it out into my hand so I end up pouring out WAY too much for each use. I wish there was a stopper or something to prevent too much oil from rushing out. I make a mess when I use this which is a bummer because I love it and want it to last a really long time! Using the 1 oz. size every morning and night has lasted me about a month. I definitely want to invest in the 6 oz. size next and I’m excited that it has a pump. I think it will last me FOREVER.

I’m excited to have discovered the brand PurErb. They have lots of neat stuff on their website that I am looking at when I place my order. I love discovering new brands!

Is this something you would try? I love that there is a $9 mini option so you can see if you love it before making a bigger investment. What is your facial cleanser?

I hate when oils don’t come in great packaging! I had a L’Occitane travel almonde oil and I almost killed myself after pouring it into the shower heheh
