Amala Beauty Handbag EssentialsDo you use minis when you travel?

I typically jam all of my full sized products into my bag. I’m anything but a light packer! The funny thing is, I have SO many minis and when I go somewhere for the weekend it would really be the perfect time to take advantage and use some of them up.

Amala Beauty Jasmine Hydrating Hand Cream, Cocoa Bean Rejuvenating Hand Cream, Desert Fig Soothing Lip SalveWhen I traveled over Easter break, I brought Amala Beauty’s Handbag Essentials set* with me. I don’t always travel with body care products, because to be honest, I can go a few days without lotion or just use whatever off brand my family or friends have where I’m going. But sometimes if I have a mini of something handy, it’s a nice thing to throw in my bag. I have really been enjoying the three products that come in this set, plus the little bag. In this set you are getting a 15 ml Jasmine Hydrating Hand Cream, 15 ml Cocoa Bean Rejuvenating Hand Cream, and a 10 ml Desert Fig Soothing Lip Salve. They come in a Luxe mini valise, which is the little hemp bag. It’s iPhone sized!

For $44 I think they could have been a little more generous on size, but truth be told the products inside are pretty nice. Cocoa Bean Rejuvenating Hand Cream has cocoa bean, inca inchi seed, and licorice root to keep the skin soft and smooth and erase the look of fine lines and discoloration. Jasmine Hydrating Hand Cream has jasmine, avocado, and macadamia nut for moisturizing, antioxidant protection, and protecting hands from the elements. Both are quick absorbing, and have light scents that don’t linger. Each of these lotions are available separately on Amala’s site for $14 in the size the kit contains. That’s a far cry from what an Aveeno mini would run, but these products are certified organic, fair trade, and spa quality.

Amala Beauty Handbag Essentials kitThe Desert Fig Lip Salve was probably my favorite product of those I tried. I’m always looking for a new lip balm and this did a really nice job, It’s moisturizing like a salve but it’s not super thick. I’ve worn it during the day and to bed and it works beautifully to keep my lips soft and keep them from peeling. As far as I can tell, it’s only available on Amala’s website through the Handbag Essentials kit

I’m really pleased with these little minis. I have a Lifeproof case for my phone so I probably won’t use the case for a cell phone case, but it’s too nice to toss or put in my kids’ toy bin. I love to keep these little satchels in my jewelry box and put earrings or a delicate necklace inside when I travel. It’s the perfect size for that.

I try to carry minis when I can. I find it a pain sometimes to use reusable containers, even though it can be cheaper in the long run.
