I had an epic shopping afternoon two Saturdays ago. I went boutique shopping and everything at this awesome place was 75%, and not just the Christmas stuff either. It was off of literally everything in the whole store since they are revamping inventory. I ended up spending over $100 and got seriously SO much stuff. It was so exciting since I am trying to decorate my house more and I got to buy high end stuff on a major sale. Later that day I ended up at Sephora and I noticed that the new Bite Beauty Matte Créme Lip Crayonswere out for Spring 2016. Holla! These are some of my favorite products so I had to pick one up to round out my collection (I already had the others waiting for me at home). Seriously, best shopping day of my life!

Bite Beauty Matte Créme Lip Crayons for Spring 2016- Blood Orange, Pastille, Blanc, Pink Lady, Red Velvet, RosehipIf you’ve been reading my blog for a couple years, you’ll know that I’ve never NOT covered a new Bite Beauty launch. I’m completely obsessed with their lipstick and in my opinion, they’re some of the best out there right now. They do every shade range beautifully- their bolds are unique and vibrant, their nudes are flattering even on the palest of skin tones, and their berries are strikingly beautiful. When you look at a range of lipsticks from most brands, one or two shades probably speak to you. When I look at a display of Bite Beauty lipsticks, I want to pick each shade up individually to admire it. They are really that good!

Bite Beauty Matte Créme Lip Crayons for Spring 2016- Blood Orange, Pastille, Blanc, Pink Lady, Red Velvet, RosehipThis spring, they came out with six new shades, Pink Lady, Red Velvet, Blood Orange, Rosehip, Pastille, and Blanc.

Each and every one of these shades appeal to me. Each shade is bright, but not in a shocking way, besides Pastille which is more a nude mauve. And of course, Blanc, which is intended to help you pull off the ombre lip trend. I was actually pretty excited about Blanc because although I would never wear it by itself, I would totally wear a two toned lip and you can use this to create your variation. My version below is labeled Blanc, and I wore it over Blood Orange on the center of my lips, and I used the pad of my finger to help fade it out. I didn’t do the most professional job, but you get the jist. With a little practice this could look really cool!

Also, Blood Orange is a shade we have seen before. This came out initially as a limited edition shade when the Matte Créme Lip Crayons first entered the market, two years ago in Spring ’14 (read my review). Of that launch, this was one of the best shades. I tried to track down those original lip crayons, and I KNOW I kept them, but of course I’m having a hard time finding them right when I wanted to compare! I don’t think there are any other dupes/repeats of shades but these new shades are equally as refreshing and punchy as that original launch!

At $24 a pop are they a splurge? Yes. But the finish on these is a gorgeous matte that is still moist on the lips and not at all drying, they have the subtle hint of citrus scent from the orange peel wax they use, they are water-resistant, and long wearing. Bite Beauty’s formulas are food grade so it is one of the healthiest lip products on the market today, and they are ultra pigmented perfection. The collection of lip crayons has expanded now to twelve shades of which I own nearly if not every shade. You are sure to find a favorite somewhere in this line, since the colors range from nudes, to reds, to berries.

Anyway…I don’t like to gush very often because it can seem fakey, but if I was ever going to gush over a product, it would be this one. You NEED to try one of these. Treat yourself to a little splurge. Call it the little pop of color you need to get yourself through a dreary and cold January. You’re going to be obsessed!

Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon Blanc, Pastille, Blood Orange, Pink Lady, Red Velvet Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayons Spring 2016I love all of the shades but if I had to pick just one it would be Blood Orange, followed up closely by Pastille. Love these so much!

They’re so pretty! Wish I could wear the mattes, but alas I can not. Fortunately, I have a lot of Bite Beauty’s other non-matte lippies and I love them!

I love Pastille. I so wish this wasn’t matte but I’m tempted by it anyway.
