A couple weeks ago I shared with all of you what my fall skincare routine was like. I am still using all of the items I talked about, but you know me, I like to shake things up and I wanted to try a few new things. As I had mentioned in the post, I wasn’t working on a specific night cream, but I was working through a few small samples of things I needed to use up. I’ve been using a new tube of night cream recently and wanted to share, and I’ve been targeting a few skincare concerns with new products.

My skin has been acting up a little bit recently and it’s all my fault. I had done my Halloween Advent calendar post and it was a super fun craft but it was seriously a JOKE that I thought that I was only going to eat one piece of candy a day. I’ve been chowing down on Kit Kats, Reeses, Twizzlers, and the like for the past few weeks since that post and I’m breaking out like a mofo. They’re weird little breakouts, just along my jawline and you can’t really see them unless you’re close but they are bumpy when I touch my face, and unsightly. I’ve also been really craving time to myself lately (potty training and teething have me losing my mind over here) so I’ve been staying up really late just to get a breather from the kids. I’ve been falling asleep on the couch reading and doing online stuff and I’ve been falling asleep in my makeup, which is so strange for me. But the breakouts combined with falling asleep in a full face of makeup a few times have really kicked my skin’s butt. Despite everything, my skin has the perfect moisture level lately and I didn’t want to disrupt that by doing some harsh exfoliating or acne masks, but I do want to get my radiance back.
Intensive-C Radiance Peel has been my jam lately. The formula is supposed to brighten, smooth, hydrate, and restore radiance, even skintone, and enhance luminosity. I smooth a thin layer of this over my skin and wait for 10 minutes. It has a slight tingling sensation that takes over about a minute after application. It’s got a bit of exfoliation to it to improve the texture of your skin and I definitely think I get a bit of a radiance boost even after one use. I’m using this about three times a week lately and my skin is starting to show a difference. This is supposed to be comparable to a professional peel. I’m not really sure if I’d agree with that because I’ve never had a peel in a salon before, but I like the idea that I can get the same results at home for less.
I have goals to get rid of these pesky dark spots that grace my cheeks after summer. Besides applying SPF daily I haven’t really done anything for a while to combat these dumb things. I had been wanting to try Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum for a while now but just never got around to trying it. The last time I was at Sephora I left with another serum that the saleswoman said would be more effective and it wasn’t, so I’m looking forward to seeing some results with this one. Typically I’ve found with products that have high claims, results don’t really come until the end of the first bottle. While reading up on this I noticed that 88% saw results in two weeks, so it would be rad if I was in the majority on this one. I took some before pictures and if I see major results I’ll keep y’all posted. Cross your fingers for me!
Lastly, I’ve gotten more consistent with my night cream lately. I used up a bunch of tiny samples of things and I was ready to crack a new tube of night cream, so Essential-C Night Moisture it is. I’m using a lot of serums that target specific concerns right now so all I really need from a night cream is to lock in a ton of moisture. This moisturizer is antioxidant rich, hydrating, and it’s supposed to help out environmentally stressed skin by supporting natural cell turnover and neutralizing daily toxins. So far, every night that I’ve used it I’ve woken up with really soft skin. I like that it comes in a tube since I’m breaking out lately and extra concerned with being hygienic with my night cream. The 1.7 oz. size typically lasts me a month and a half since I apply generously to my face and neck.
Overall, love love LOVE these so far. Especially the peel. If you’re looking to pick any of these up check them out at Sephora, Nordstrom, Dermstore, or Amazon.com.
Have you tried any of these yet?
