The holidays are without a doubt the most exciting time to buy makeup. It’s a chance to get a good deal on products that are bundled up and in a smaller size and at a smaller price point. So many things I’ve discovered in holiday gift sets have been items I’ve gone out to purchase in full size later on when I’ve loved them. One of my favorite launches for the holidays is definitely from Bite Beauty. They’ve been one of my favorite brands since I discovered them four years ago and I own an embarrassing amount of their stuff. I’m basically freaking out over their holiday selection of goodies and I am so excited to share them with you today.

Bite Beauty has three main items for holiday gifting. They have the Best Bite Rewind (the red tin with four mini créme lip crayons), the Mix and Mingle (six separate sets of mini lip duos), and the Discovery Set (an eight piece lip set of Bite’s best selling products). I have a few of these items to share and I’ll show you some swatches and what my recommendations are below!
First, the Mix and Mingle. I have three of these, so all in all I have six of the lip colors. The shade duos I have are Pepper/Café, Scarlet/Mulberry, and Pomegranate/Palomino. These retail $14 each and they say it’s a $24 value. If you’re new to the Luminous Créme Lipstick range, I would say these are a must buy. You’re going to fall in love with the formula and it’s honestly my favorite lipstick that’s out there. That’s saying a lot because I’ve tried a ton of lipsticks. I believe most of the shades depicted here are always in their product line, whereas some of them are limited edition.
I really enjoy the way they’ve paired these. If you’re into nude lipsticks, there are two to choose from, if you’re into bright lips, you get two, if you’re into darks, you get two, etc. I was just writing in my Fall Favorites post the other day about how much I love the shade Pepper as a gorgeous dusty rose-nude shade and I already have this in full size which is a testament to how much I dig it. In case you’re thinking about picking these up for yourself or someone else, I’ll tell you a couple of pros and cons. First the good- these are amazing. They have a very moisture rich formula, which is very timely as we head into colder weather and your lips get drier. They’re also food grade and gluten-free which is awesome to those with sensitivities to certain ingredients. Why I love that detail is that I like wearing this and kissing my babies and not worrying about what kind of junk I am getting on them when I am loving on them. The shades available are vibrant and flattering and lastly the price is very on point. I have a lot of people on my gift list and $14 is pretty much exactly what I’m looking to spend on someone. These are just perfect in my book!
The only negative thing I can really think of is the fact that there isn’t a whole lot of product in the tube and if you push too hard when you apply, you’ll break the lipstick off at the base. It’s not the end of the world, and I’ve done this type of thing lots of times with lipsticks I have, but it’s worth mentioning. Just remember as you’re applying how delicate a skinny tube of lipstick can be and you’ll be golden.Next, I’ve got the Bite Beauty Rewind set. Last year there some colors that were repeated from the previous year. This year I’m pretty sure all of the shades are new. We’ve got Café (peachy-brown nude), Torte (brown-toned rose), Coulis (raspberry red), and Aubergine (eggplant). The only shade I’ve tried before is Aubergine, which I also own in a full size and it’s totally beautiful. Check out my swatches of the Matte Créme lip crayons here.
For $25, you get a little red tin with a mirror in the lid and inside are four of the most gorgeous deluxe sized matte lip crayons you’ll find around. If you only pick up one of the Bite Beauty holiday sets, let this one be it. You’ll love trying these out. They’ve got a great selection of colors in this tin from nudes to berries to a bright red. Love!
It was on my list of things to do to swatch all of these for you and then wear each one separately for a picture, but I haven’t done it yet and I’ve been sitting on this post for a while. I just wanted to finally show you so I figured swatches is enough. Literally, these are some of the prettiest lipstick shades you’re going to find.
L-R: Café/Pepper, Scarlet/Mulberry, Pomegranate/Palomino, Torte, Coulis, Aubergine, Café
Do you think you’ll pick any of these up? If so, which one(s)? Rewind is my favorite!
