I have been a longtime fan of Lancome makeup. Their makeup is top notch and I have been using their products since when I first used makeup. If you’ve been a reader for a while, you probably know that I am totally obsessed with their liquid liner. It’s my ride or die and I’ve had one in constant rotation for the past six years. No matter what products I test or what else I dabble in, I always come back to it. Recently, I tried a new Lancome product, their new Drama Liqui Pencils. I have 16 shades to show you!

It was so much fun testing these gorgeous shades for you. I am usually a dark brown or black eyeliner girl, and it’s been a hot second since I’ve worn a bright purple or a silver. But seriously these shades are so much fun. I have to say, beyond the glamorous colors available in this range, this eyeliner is other worldly. The pigmentation is intense and what you see looking at the color of the packaging is exactly what’s going on your eyes. I barely need to press down the tip to my eyelid and color appears. In fact, don’t push down too hard or you may smush the tip off.
Upon application, you have a few moments to get the color where you want it before it sets. Once it’s there, it’s there. The shades last me all day. I can even attest that I wore this overnight once by accident when I fell asleep on the couch watching Netflix and it was entirely perfect when I woke up the next day. There was no budging or fading!
L-R: Noir Intense (deep black), Baroque (matte lavender), Ampoulé (pearlized purple), Macaron (pink), Paradis (pearlized tropical green), Pacifique (matte sea green), Cote D’Azur (blue klein), Miniut (matte midnight blue), Parisian Night (pearlized midnight blue), Brulée (chocolate brown), Embrase (pearlized gray), Pluie (grey), Lumiére (metallic silver), Lamé (metallic white gold), French Lace (matte white), Soleil (bright yellow)
The shades I personally have gotten the most use out of are Brulée and Noir Intense, although I’ve been really enjoying some of the more unique shades of the bunch as well. Lumiére is a gorgeous shade to wear on my bottom lash line and that has quickly become a favorite of mine!
Another favorite Lancome item of mine is the Hypnose Drama mascara. This is one of my all time favorite mascaras. I’ve been through several tubes over the years. There is a slight sweet scent to it that reminds me of honey, and it gives the most dramatic lashes out there! The brush is slightly wavy and really allows you to get into the nooks and crannies of your eyelashes.
The only thing that gets me about the formula is that it’s a pretty wet formula and a lot comes off on the brush. I end up scraping the wand off against the lip of the tube to get about 75% of the product off of the brush before putting it through my lashes. It takes a bit to dry as well, but the end result ends up being totally worth it. I don’t like small, stumpy lashes. I want dramatic lashes every day and this really delivers. It does take a bit of effort to use, but it produces a lash look I love!
Of course today when I went to take pictures for this post, was the ONLY day in the past 3 weeks I’m not wearing the Drama Liqui Pencil on my lids, but you can see how much volume and thickness the Hypnose Drama gives to my lashes! I also went to set up my tripod and found that my batteries for my camera remote were out, so I couldn’t back up all the way and show you the rest of my makeup. I can’t get it together today apparently!
Have you tried the new liners or the Hypnose Drama? What do you think? What was your favorite liner shade?
