Are you thinking of Halloween yet? If not, you totally should be! It’s coming up soon so I put together a quick guide of what I’m considering to be makeup essentials for the special day. Rather than buying the cheap, junky makeup they sell at the Halloween stores, I try to find worthwhile makeup items that I can add to my stash that will work for me other days besides when I’m trying to be spooky. Here are a few of my essentials!

The Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Volume 2- Artistic palette has a variety of neutrals and other fun colors that are sure to suit any colorful look you have going. The Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil Longwear Eyeliner is a formula I have been testing and it’s so extremely longwearing and budgeproof that you could draw whiskers and designs to your heart’s content and they won’t be going anywhere. A great vampy lipcolor for any sexy look you might create (sexy nurse, sexy Barbie, sexy whatever) is Bite Beauty Matte CrΓ©me Lip Crayon in Truffle. The Dior Couture Smokey Palette is a total splurge but anyone looking to create a gorgeous smokey eye for Halloween will find a luxury match match in heaven in this palette. And of course, when you get home from wearing more makeup than you ever normally wear, you’re going to want some of Clinique’s Take the Day Off. I apply this balm to my face and work it around and literally all my makeup just wipes right off. It’s the perfect way to start my cleanse when I’m wearing a bunch of makeup!

Oh man, I wish! But I have company this weekend so whatever I come up with for makeup is probably going to be winging it! Maybe I’ll take pics and post for next year πŸ™‚

Daydreaming shopping is what I do when I’m feeling broke. I’d daydream the Dior for sure.

Alas, my friend/neighbor who used to give the big Halloween costume party moved to Vermont. Now I just throw on the witch hat & cape to hand out the candy to the couple of hundred or so kids who come to the door πŸπŸ¬πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸ«πŸ‘ΉπŸ‘»

There are so many cool makeup costume tutorials out right now – many of them doable with regular cosmetics! Love the idea of using what I already have in a new way.
