If you’ve ever been to this website, you KNOW my love for foundations and skincare products runs deep. I am obsessed with my complexion, and my skin’s needs always change depending on the season. In the summer, my normally dry skin is more combination, dry in the cheeks and oily in the t-zone. I have a slight tan so I am wearing mostly tinted moisturizers in shades in the medium range right now. It Cosmetics’ new product Bye Bye Pores Pressed is a fresh take on their best selling translucent loose powder, and I’m loving it!

It comes in a black compact and the bottom stores a sponge you can use for applying the powder on the go. I prefer applying this with the Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Brush, one of the softest brushes I own. I have at least three of these and I use them for everything! It’s the perfect brush for powder, blush, bronzer, and highlighter. If you don’t have one, you have to go to the store and feel it in person. So soft!

I personally love loose powder when I’m at home, but if I want a touch up, it’s obviously far more convenient to have a pressed powder compact. The powder is talc-free, hydrating, anti-aging and promises airbrushed looking skin! The micro-silk powder is triple-fine milled to blur pores and imperfections and keeps skin fresh and shine free.

And trust me, wear a primer, your regular foundation/tinted moisturizer, and top with the Bye Bye Pressed and your skin will love you! This is a formula I especially appreciate in the summer when my skin is a little deeper in color and I still want a setting powder that works for me. I didn’t realize how tan I was and tried using one of my regular foundations the other day and my skin actually looked gray from having too light of a shade on my face. The same thing happens when I set my makeup with powder that’s too light. Having a translucent powder on hand is a great solution to this. I love not needing to shade match my skin!

I’m wearing it in this picture with no flash photography. That’s the only thing I’m unsure of- does it have a white cast to it under flash? If you’re using it for a wedding or special occasion I would definitely check ahead of time.

Loving the Bye Bye Pressed! Have you checked this out yet? Do you use a translucent powder?
