I can’t believe Father’s Day is almost here! If you forgot like I almost did, remember it’s this coming weekend! One of my favorite places to buy gifts for loved ones is L’Occitane. They kill it with their gift sets and they everything there smells amazing. The Cedrat Energizing Collection is a good place to start if you are looking for a gift for a man in your life. Cleanser, stick deodorant, and a cologne are all in the package here!
First, what the heck is a Cedrat? It’s a citrus fruit with an unusual appearance and thick, rough rind. Originally from Asia, it was the first citrus fruit to reach the shores of Corsica, France. The extract derived from the pulp was coveted for its skin-energizing properties. To this day, L’Occitane continues to harvest cedrat during the winter months on the island of Corsica at a small, organic cooperative.
Notes: Bergamot, Cedrat, Nutmeg, Blue Ginger, Cedar, Cashmere Wood
Style: Modern, Refined, Unpredictable
It’s not a rugged, backwoodsy type scent, it’s more of a fresh out of the shower combined with a citrus scent. I think this scent would appeal to a fashion forward guy who likes a really fresh scent. The citrus is not overwhelming, it’s a really good combination of slightly sweet citrus and wood. If it was a touch sweeter, I would probably like to wear it myself!
In this gift box you also get the stick deodorant. It’s alcohol and aluminum free and has the same scent of the cologne. It’s supposed to be non-sticky as well which is awesome because who wants sticky armpits? I think most men and women find the deodorant they like and stick with it regardless of their fragrance choice but it is really awesome to have the option here to amp up your cologne with a matching deodorant. I’m actually currently looking for a aluminum free deodorant for myself and will have to search within the L’Occitane line since they seem to be more conscious of ingredients than other brands! If you didn’t know, L’Occitane likes to use as many natural ingredients as they can, and have a lot of organically certified products. You can read more about that on their about page.
The third thing you get here is the Pure Cleanser. It’s an energizing cleansing gel scrub that transforms into a rich and creamy foam upon contact with water. The natural exfoliating particles derived from lemon rind cleanse and leave the skin soft, purified and ready for shaving. This was an unexpected gem in the gift box because usually I see aftershave, shaving cream, or shower gel, but not a facial cleanser! Getting my hubby to use an actual cleanser and not bar soap for his skincare regimen was like pulling teeth, but his skin looks so much better now that he is committed to a real skincare routine!
What a fabulous way to try these products from L’Occitane all at the same time. The cologne retails for $58, the deodorant retails for $18 and the cleanser retails for $22. For $60 you can snag this whole set, just $2 more than the cologne alone costs!
Do you have a Father’s Day gift yet? Who do you buy for? I usually shop for my husband, dad, and father-in-law.
