I was shopping with my littlest kiddo at Walmart last night, a late night “teething run” if you know what I mean. I know I won’t be sleeping anyway if my daughter is up teething and in agony, so off to the store we go. Mom gets some shopping done, baby gets lulled to sleep in the cart and in the van, so everybody wins. I wanted to pick up a gift for a friend for Mother’s Day without breaking the bank. They are coming to visit next weekend from out of town and she doesn’t get treated very often so I wanted to get something special for her. She has three young children, two in middle school and one in high school, and she works as an Emergency Room Nurse full time while going to school. To say she doesn’t get much time to pamper herself is an understatement.
I wanted to buy her something I knew she could replace affordably. I have passed along some makeup and skincare goodies for her before and one of the brands I gave her was from the drugstore. She loved it, got lots of compliments on her skin, and was able to go and purchase more. Although it’s fun to buy something expensive for someone, there’s often a sense of “well, that was fun” when it’s all gone. I found the line of Love2Love fragrances from Walmart that smell amazing and I know she will love, AND you can buy a coordinating gift bag for $0.50 so I knew right away she would love this goodie bag as a Mother’s Day surprise.
I was kind of disappointed when I first got there that the Love2Love fragrance I was hoping to buy was gone! Bluebell + White Tea must be popular because it was all gone. I have owned this myself actually and I really liked the fresh scent. Some of the other choices were Fresh Rose + Peach, Freesia + Violet Petals, and the one I ended up with, Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa. for right around $10, I was able to pick up the Love2Love Fragrance and the $0.50 Love2Love matching gift bag off the end cap display.
I love that there are five fragrances, each with completely different perfume notes. They are inexpensive and especially the price, you are getting a huge amount of the scent in the bottle. Each one is enclosed in a glass bottle adorned with a petal shaped cap. Of the five scents I think Bluebell + White Tea and Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa are the lightest scents, while the other three seem to be stronger. I tend to like lighter scents that can be layered, and I like to reapply throughout the day so I can wear something else in the evening, so that’s why the lighter fragrances are my favorite.
If you think this would make a great and affordable gift for a mother in your life, check them out at love2lovefragrances.com. I think my friend’s going to love this! Which one do you think would be your favorite?
