As we head into this (hopefully) last super cold month of winter, I am on Instagram almost daily getting inspired to switch up my wardrobe, wear something bright, or in any way, shape, or form change it up! I have been shopping for new foundation, tweaking my skincare routine, playing with different makeup and the whole nine yards. I am rediscovering old favorites in my stash, and finding new things I haven’t heard of before.
I wrote about Clark’s Botanicals Cellular Lifting Moisture Mist in my Winter Skincare Staples post a few months ago and I’m still really enjoying it. I have had a few other facial mists cross my beauty desk in the last couple months, but this one remains well loved. A new product to me is the Soothing Herbal Face Wash. I haven’t cracked it open yet, but the herbal scent is entrancing and I already know I’m going to love it. Sometimes it’s all about the scents, right? The Skin Clearing Face and Body Wash also looks awesome to me. I don’t think I’ve ever tried a cleanser that was meant for face AND body. I would love a mini size of that sometime for travel.
Clark’s Botanicals also has some great products in the form of their Ultra Rich Lip Tints. Before taking a picture I tried to find the others in my collection (I have several) and could not. I must have gifted them out at some point to my friends because I wanted to spread my love of these. They moisturize and protect lips with shea butter, aloe leaf extract, jojoba and sweet almond oil, as well as delivering intense, long-lasting hydration with marine collagen microspheres. I think one of the only shades of this I haven’t tried is their Ultra Rich Lip Balm, because I know I’ve tried most of the tints. They go on pretty sheer and the texture is pretty thin, and they have a vanilla flavor to them.
I found these products at Gloss48! It is one of my favorite places to browse for new beauty products because they specialize in new indie beauty! Every time I go to their site I learn of many beauty products I’ve never heard of, which to me is half the fun of trying beauty products- discovering new things. New members get $10 off their first order of $30+ (the popup will show as soon as you go to the site) and Clark’s Botanicals is on sale this week through tomorrow (3/5/15).
Beyond it being fun to shop for beauty in general, I love indie because most of these companies were formed in someone’s kitchen or basement and worked hard to get where they are. I love the idea of a person chasing a dream and running on passion and a couple bucks and the support of a community who would love to see them succeed! I know a few other fellow bloggers who have developed beauty lines that cater to their specific needs. Clark’s Botanicals was formed after the founder lost the ability to sweat and developed chronically clogged pores and bad breakouts. Their product line is developed around banishing acne and a percent of the profits go to The Christopher Reeve Foundation. Doesn’t get much better than that!
Happy Wednesday and I hope you get the chance to pick up some sale goodies from Gloss48‘s sale!
