I’m not really much for Valentine’s Day if I’m being honest. There are a couple Valentine’s Days that stick out to me in my entire life. When I was 11th grade, my boyfriend from another school sent me flowers to my class, and it was mortifying. Worse yet, he admitted the only reason he sent them was because my best friend threatened him within an inch of his life that he had to do something sweet for me. And, I think one year my husband got me a card? And maybe took me out for dinner? That was before kids. Generally, my mom gives the best Valentine’s Day gifts. I always get a little trinket from her in the mail and those are the gifts I have come to appreciate most.

This year, I have decided that V-day needs to be all about the pampering. I certainly don’t have time to go redeem a massage gift card even if I was gifted one, so I like the idea of soaking in a tub at home. LUSH has some awesome gifts that are all about pampering and I’m loving them. I rounded up a couple other favorite items too. Check ’em out!
Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar is in the shape of, well, a unicorn horn, and has glitter, rainbow colors and all that good stuff. It’s pretty to look at and pretty to use in the bath. It leaves a shimmering pink luster in the tub and smells like lavender, ylang ylang and neroli. I love that it turns the tub water pink but doesn’t stain. Can I get an Amen? I seriously hate cleaning already, but when I have to scrub rings out of the shower, no thanks. I love that it leaves no evidence behind!
Another favorite is the Floating Flower. This one will turn your bath water different colors depending on what part is tossed in. The pink will turn it pink, the green turns it green, etc. This one has some special effects too, and as it is dropped in it fizzes away. Jasmine is what this one smells like.
I love LUSH bath bombs because you only need a little piece broken off for your bubble bath. Last year had Love Locket, and like a total dork, I tossed the entire thing in the bath tub. I don’t know what I was thinking. #mostexpensivebathever But Unicorn Horn and Floating Flower are in the $6-7 range and you can easily get 3-4 baths out of each!
After a relaxing bath, I also love to paint my toenails. Right now I’m wearing Suzy Says Feng Shui. It’s a gorgeous blue that reminds me of my friend Lauren, because I bought it last summer when we got pedis together.
Another gift idea is a Druzy Heart necklace by Wrenn. One side is a gorgeous druzy, and the other side is this beautiful foiled gold that matches everything. I wear mine all the time, not just for Valentine’s Day!
A Vera Bradley notebook is another great gift. My two year old picked it out for me for Christmas this year and I still haven’t used it yet. She knows I keep a notebook to keep track of my thoughts from day to day and my to do list, so that was her gift to me. She likes to doodle in mine all the time too. I think something gorgeous like this blank book would make a super gift!
Potted plants like the one in the above picture are great too. I’m trying to find a plant right now that will thrive in dim areas like my bathroom. I bought this one for my bathroom and it started dying and I had to bring it back into my bright kitchen to bring it back to life.
What are you hoping for for Valentine’s Day? I will have another post coming up in a few days of more wish list items!
