Shortly after my youngest little one was born, the company Two Little Fish sent me this adorable little blanket to review for you all. I have to admit, I am just writing about it, but this is one of the only blankets we have used with baby girl because we love it that much! It stays in the crib with her, it goes in the car seat, she lays on it for tummy time, and I nurse under it. Of the many baby blankets we have for her, we just always end up reaching for this one because it’s so cuddly and soft.
One side has black and white polka dots. The dots are a little uneven, almost as though they were painted on, but they are part of the fabric.
The other side has black and white chevron and has a velvety finish to it. It’s super soft and this is the side we always put closest to her skin. It’s so snuggly and we get compliments on it everywhere we go!
Two Little Fish is a unique company in that 100% of the profit is given away and put back into the community via the partners that assist their mission in Putting Poverty To Bed. But how?
- Each item sold contains some Ghanian fabric which has been purchased straight from the village women in Ghana, Africa. This gives them sustainable income.
- You will be sending a mattress to an AIDS orphan in South Africa through Horizon International with the purchase of your item.
- The rest of the profit from the set you have bought will be put BACK into local and global organizations that help Put Poverty To Bed!
Whenever I cuddle my two little ones it makes my heart hurt to think of children who don’t have a soft, warm bed to sleep in at night, clothing to wear, shoes on their feet, or a family to love and care for them. Beyond being for a cause I can get behind, these blankets are extremely well made and I think they are well worth the price tag. If you can get your hands on one, you won’t regret it!
Even as I’m writing this, my littlest is under the blanket with me napping. It is just so cozy.
