I am loving a nude color palette, and specifically mattes over the past few months. When I bought the Naked Basics palette a couple years ago, I never figured it would become one of my favorites. At the time, I didn’t own many matte shades so I thought I would give them a whirl. I pretty much fell in love with the palette on its own, and as a fill in when other palettes I’m using don’t have any matte shades. When Naked Basics 2 came out, I snatched that one up as well, and now I’m loving the Becca Ombre Nudes palette.

Create natural depth and softly highlight eyes with velvety soft, ombre nudes that can be applied wet or dry for optimal effect. Matte shades provide pigment-rich, nude tones for a variety of neutral looks—ranging from subtle to bold. The infused Green Coffee Oil helps to brighten the eyes and smooth the lids, while the built-in priming effect extends the wear of your eye shadows.
I use these just about every day lately! I love how versatile these are. You can use them not only on your eyelids, but also for filling in sparse brows, wet or dry as eyeliner, and for contouring on your face. Unlike some of the other matte palettes, these seem to be more brown based and warm, and none of the shades have gray tones in them, so they truly do work well for contouring.
I’ve been using this by itself and in conjunction with other palettes. I’m surprised by how many palettes don’t come with light matte shades for allover the lids, or dark matte shades as a crease shade! This palette has me covered!

There’s something special about a makeup palette that can take one dimensional brown shades and make them anything but boring. Loving these! With all the matte shades growing in popularity, it’s hard to make a choice but I don’t think you can go wrong with the Ombre Nudes.
I have two other matte palettes I am sharing with you this week, so stay tuned! What’s your favorite matte makeup?
