One of the best beauty buys you’re going to find this year is the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pro’s Picks Portables lip tar set. Of course, the holidays are a perfect time to try out some makeup products at a discount- not only because so many brands and stores are running deals but there are awesome kits like this one where you get to try 12 products in mini size for a seriously reduced rate. You wouldn’t get through a full size of one of these anyway!

occ lip tars holiday 2014What you are getting here is a set of 12 mini-sized Lip Tar liquid lipsticks in matte and metallic finishes for creating and customizing a variety of lip looks. Plus a full size lip brush! All products are 100% vegan and cruelty free if that is important to you or the gift recipient. I know I have a few animal lovers on my Christmas list who don’t ever use a makeup product unless it’s cruelty free. These would be a perfect gift for someone like that!

What’s special about this specific kit is you are getting 12 Lip Tars but none of these shades have ever been released in the test tube (smaller) size. I know I love trying new products but I love it even more when they aren’t limited edition and I’m getting smaller sizes of the full size permanent line products. That way I have the chance to own practically an entire product line at the price point of maybe two full size products. You can’t beat that!

This set contains:
– 12 x 0.08 oz Lip Tar liquid lipsticks in Interlace: Matte (palest peach cream), Zhora: Metallic (peach/pink shimmer), Annika: Matte (pale neutral peach), Cha Cha: Matte (pale tangerine), Grandma: Matte (clean, classic coral), Vintage: Matte (deep burgundy), Harlot: Matte (neon popsicle red), Nylon: Matte (neon bubblegum pink), Hoochie: Matte (vibrant magenta), Digitalis: Matte (pink-tinged lavender), Sebastian: Matte (plum-toned taupe), Iced: Metallic (pure white frost)
– #010 Precision Lip Brush

Don’t get me wrong, I hate science but these are truly made for mixing. I have so much fun with Lip Tars because I can create my own concoction. Especially when the color of the year for 2015 was announced as Marsala, I don’t want to go and spend all my money on brand new makeup in that shade when I could just try to create it at home with products I already have! Get thrifty and see if you can recreate some gorgeous shades you are enjoying in the store with a kit like this one.

I love your creations! I bought all the things Koren (EnKore Makeup) said to make my own Lip Tar lipsticks, but haven’t had a chance to make them yet. I know I’ll get more use of out them then.
