Forgive me for taking a while to get this post up- this collection has been out for a bit but I am just now posting on it. I got these in the mail right after we moved into our new home and right after I gave birth so that’s my excuse! I also lost my original pictures so I am taking pics of used product. Not my favorite way to roll, but at least you can tell I’ve been using some of these a bunch!

In honor of the 20th anniversary of L’Occitane’s best-selling Shea hand cream, they have launched a new, limited edition Shea Butter line with a special texture as light and airy as whipped cream. There are three products available- a hand cream, body cream, and shower foam.

l'occitane whipped body cream First, the Shea Butter Whipped Body Cream. You can see by looking at it that it’s light, airy, and whipped. The scent reminds me vaguely of baby powder. If you don’t like that scent, don’t sweat it, the scent only sticks around for a few minutes. I don’t have anything else that goes on this light so I am loving it! It’s totally non greasy yet still moisturizes hardcore.

The Shea Butter Whipped Hand Cream is really similar! Both smell the same. What you’re used to seeing in a hand cream with L’Occitane isn’t exactly what you get here. The texture is whipped so it doesn’t come out runny like most of them- it squirts out in a strip kind of like cake frosting. The hand cream has a 25% concentration of shea butter, whereas the body cream has a 10% concentration. I’ve been carrying this in my coat pocket lately to stay ahead of dryness and cracked hands!

l'occitane whippedI’ve been loving the Whipped Shower Foam too. This is lightly scented, and you barely need any to cleanse with. It’s not super rich but is still moisturizing. It leaves my skin soft, but I still crave lotion afterwards. I could do without some days, but I always prefer to follow up with lotion after a shower during the cold months.

Last but not least, the Shea Butter Apricot Solidarity Soap is a product I haven’t started using yet. It’s created in support of World Sight Day. Almost 285 million people in the world are visually impaired, yet 80% of blindness can be avoided. Each year, L’Occitane launches a solidarity product to fight against avoidable blindness. 100% of the profits from the sale of this soap will finance NGOs working on eye health projects in developing countries, with the support of the L’Occitane foundation. I haven’t tried this yet, but they’re only $3, and would make a perfect stocking stuffer!
