I decided it might be a fun little posting series to share with you some of the personal items in makeup, beauty, and fashion that I buy in the span of a month. Part of the reason why I wanted to start blogging from the beginning was because I love being a consumer. I am not and have never claimed to be the authority on anything more than what I personally like. This also isn’t really a review, just simply showing you some fun new items I grabbed with my own money.
I am dealing with some post-baby hair loss around my hairline. I will have a post about that soon too. I bought these when I realized I needed a bang trim and I couldn’t pull them back with a bobby pin like I normally would because of my bald patches. They are also perfect for the gym when I want to pull my bangs back out of my face. They haven’t been slipping at all which is normally a problem for me with headbands. I probably wear these too often lately- hopefully the headband is not rubbing off any of my fine little baby hairs that are growing back!
I needed something to get me back to a certain status or earn points on my card or something, so I bought this. I can always use more nail polish remover! It actually smells decent and I already used it to get plato out of my carpet!
I have the original lip mask and really like it. I misplaced it at some point during our move so I haven’t had it in a while. I have been hearing great things about it, and Phyrra was telling me she swears by it so I decided to grab one. I have since learned they came out with a rosy, red wine tint called Smashed, and I wish I got to test that in store, but I think I still would’ve left with the Champagne.
I was between the Bite Agave Lip Mask and the Dior Créme de Rose one and decided to go Bite for the lip balm and Dior for a fun lipstick. I still really want to try Créme de Rose sometime because I LOVE the way it feels when I try it in store, but I’ve also wanted to try the Lip Glow for ages so I’m glad I picked it up. Coral is a limited edition shade so I went that route instead of the regular one.
This came as part of a gift set from Josie Maran that I originally planned on picking up but they didn’t have it in store. They offered to order it for me, but as I was debating back and forth I realized I already owned the oil, the luminizer, and a couple other things. I ended up buying a full size of the Rio de Rose Gold since that was what was attracting me to the set to begin with. I spent my 500 point perk on a Josie Maran set though, so it’s all good! If you want to read about the gift set I was talking about and see some swatches of the Rio de Rose Gold, check out Intrubeauty.
I’ve been dying to try this for a while for no other reason than it’s a highlighter and I didn’t own it yet. LOL I’ve only tried it a couple times but really like it already. It gives the lit from within glow rather than being overly sparkly or opaque. I love it so far!
I bought this as a less expensive option when trying to replace my Lancome La Base Pro. So far so good. This leaves my skin looking and feeling velvety smooth and my foundation looks amazing over top. We will have to see how long it lasts me and hopefully it doesn’t break me out! I think those with dry skin like mine will really like this.
Well that concludes my December Beauty Buys! I almost never spend this much in a month, but I was drawn in by some really good sales, and a $25 off of $50. Gets me every time!
Did you buy anything beauty or makeup stuff this month?
