Last year I was able to review a blush set from Tarte, so this year when I saw it coming out, I already knew I needed it. There are four, deluxe, limited edition blushes in this little pack. These are great because they’re not in a palette so they’re more portable, there’s the perfect amount of product in each of these, and they’re super wearable colors. Nothing is too bright here! There’s a pretty nice shade range so I think this set will make a lot of ladies happy. They’re also not in Christmas-y packaging (gold flourishes could go for any time of the year) so if you get them for yourself or a friend, they’re not going to be hard to look at in July.
I almost missed the boat posting on this in time because it’s becoming hard to find. It’s available at Macy’s online, and Tarte’s website currently and I don’t think you’ll find it anywhere else. If you are thinking about this, you better pounce fast!
This formula boasts 12 hours of fade-free, flawless wear. I would agree with that. You have a really high quality formula in these, and I think the amazonian clay lends itself to the staying power. I have never had problems with fading with these. They last really well for me. The four shades depicted here are all limited edition:
- amour (candy pink)
- classic (soft apricot pink)
- prim (plum nude)
- daydream (rosy pink)
I love the attention to detail Tarte gives with the packaging on these. Although there’s no mirror, I wouldn’t necessarily need one in a blush this small. I prefer a larger mirror for applying makeup anyway. I just love that their signature design is etched into the top of each blush. It is a special touch.
These shades are so soft and pretty. I really love each of them. If you have never used blush, and are thinking of trying it for the first time, this would be a good place to start because I don’t think you could go wrong with a single color. The shades that speak to me most are Classic and Prim. I think they are both ideal shades that are easy to wear and match almost any eyeshadow or lipstick you could dream up. Classic is an apricot pink shade, and I just think apricot is the most flattering shade there is for blush!
The formula on these is divine. I find that Tarte’s blushes go on silky smooth and don’t cling to dry patches. My skin tends to be pretty dry, so this is a major plus for me when looking for a blush.
classic, prim, amour, daydream
I would love to see Tarte come out with some new blushes in the New Year. I hope some of these shades make it to the permanent range. I cringe to think I would ever run out of Classic. But believe me when I say I probably never will- I’m a blush addict and have far too many as it is.
Are you eyeing this? Snatch it up fast, it’s almost sold out!
