I am a Murad Ambassador. They sent me these products for my honest review. I was not compensated, and all opinions are my own!

Last week I talked about an awesome new serum I have been trying out and mentioned that I really felt like I’d been getting a handle on my skin. I feel SO lucky that two months post baby my skin is somehow not haywire. I am experiencing some of the best skin days I can remember for years lately during a time that my hormones really probably should be all over the place and giving me zits everywhere.

murad skincare 2For the past month I have been using this awesome skincare by Murad that I’m going to share with you today. I haven’t used Murad in years, but had used it in college and really loved it. As we do, I moved on to other things and hadn’t used the brand in a while, but I am so glad to have reconnected with the brand. I am truly loving the way my skin feels right now!

I will just walk you through what I have been using lately, in order. At night, I always use a cleansing oil to remove my face makeup and eye makeup. I like doing this because I save on eye makeup remover and it keeps my skin really soft. Afterwards, I’ve been washing with Murad Refreshing Cleanser.

cleanseA non-drying, foaming cleanser that’s rich in soothing, softening extracts of cucumber, Hawaiian white ginger, and algae.

My holy grail face wash for the last ten years has been Clinique Facial Soap Mild. I find this really similar but it has a little more to it. It keeps my skin feeling soft and hydrated at the same time as really cleansing it well. My skin never feels tight after washing with this. It works great with my Clarisonic Mia 2 or by itself. The scent of cucumber is what comes out most in this and I love it! I use it morning and night and I hardly need any so the tube has been lasting me forever.

murad blackhead remover and pore sealerI love that Murad labels their products with “Step 1,” “Step 2,” and “Step 3.” When you are using a ton of skincare at once it helps to remember what order you use things in. I’ve tried Murad’s Blackhead and Pore Clearing Duo a few times this month and really like them. Note I said only a few times. My skin’s been really great so I haven’t needed it!

A two-step blackhead and pore clearing treatment featuring oxidation reversal complex that helps to reduce recurrence of blackheads and seal pores.

I like that the Step 1 Blackhead Remover is a nice exfoliator. I don’t really know if it helps blackheads but it makes my skin feel nice without drying it out.

murad skin treatmentsI have been using the Step 2 Pore Refining Sealer regularly at night. This comes as part of the duo with the Blackhead Remover. I like that it makes my pores feel smaller and it’s not sticky! I’ve used a lot of serums that are part of acne improving lines and none of them I have liked as much as this one.

I should mention that the serum I’m using before this one is this. After using the Pore Refining Serum, I’ve been using the Rapid Collagen Infusion.

A clinically-proven antiaging treatment that targets wrinkles and loss of resilience by rapidly revolumizing skin and supporting natural restoration of more youthful collagen levels.

This serum really smooths out my skin. I love collagen infusing products. They seem to hydrate from the inside out. My skin feels plump and super soft when I use this. I use it morning and night.

moisturizeStep three is the Perfecting Day Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 moisturizer.

A rich antiaging moisturizer featuring strong, broad-spectrum sun protection to inhibit premature aging and rebuild youthfulness.

I only use this during the day because it has SPF. I love that it offers sun protection, and even in the winter months I like to wear it. Just because there is snow on the ground doesn’t mean I am safe from the sun’s rays. This is a really nice anti-aging cream. I love that it’s in a squeezy bottle so I don’t have to reach my hand in. The formula uses RepleniCell technology to turn water into a “performance hydrator” and helps skin act younger in three ways: helps skin attract water, binds water to the skin, and helps skin retain water. I definitely can tell that it’s hydrating and the texture is smoothing just like the rest of the products I’ve tried so far. It dries pretty quickly so that I can apply makeup right afterwards!

murad hydro dynamic ultimate moistureI’ve saved the best for last! The Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture is my favorite product I have tried from Murad’s line so far.

A clinically proven antiaging moisturizer to relieve dry, dehydrated skin and restore youthful resilience and tone.

I’ve been using this as my last step at night, and if I feel like I need extra moisture during the day, I’ll use this after the Perfecting Day Cream. This comes with a little scooper so you never have to put your hands in the jar. It’s incredibly hydrating yet not greasy at all. I apply this to my skin and it just sort of absorbs and sinks in and becomes a major skin drink. There are avocado, sunflower, and olive fruit oils to enhance skin’s ability to retain maximum levels of hydration, and retinyl palmitate and shea butter improve texture and tone while restoring natural smoothness and softness. Aside from applying a product like Vaseline, I don’t think you could infuse more moisture into your skin. It feels so good and when I use it at night I wake up with glowing skin. My only gripe is that I wish the jar was a little bigger. My small size only lasted me a month but they are available in larger sizes!

I also want to add that I have a major problem with dry, patchy skin on my cheeks in the winter and it tends to make my foundation look scaly and my blushes look bad on me. I haven’t experienced any of that with this moisturizer at all. In fact, I have been using this at night and heading to the YMCA with my kids in the morning, and I feel confident enough in my skin that I don’t wear any makeup there at all.

murad hydro dynamic ultimate moisture 2It’s true love! I have been really happy with this system so far. After a month of using all of this, I’m pretty confident I’ll be buying the Refreshing Cleanser and the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture again when I run out. I tend to stick with what I know works well with my cleansers and moisturizers but I’m a major serum junkie and I am always switching those out for the next best thing, even when I love what I’m using.

I had been using the Algenist Genius products before I started this new regimen and I fully anticipated not liking these as much just because my love was so strong for the Algenist. I was pleasantly surprised that my skin has stayed in tip top shape and I like these at least as much.

Have you tried Murad products before? I am curious about their toners and eye creams too. Any recommendations?

Looks like a really nice routine! I used Murad products a lot back in the day before my obsession with Korean brands kicked in.
