We just had our first snowfall. The wind has been whipping and I’m feeling a little blue because winter in Wisconsin lasts for easily 6 months of the year. It’s not until the end of April or even mid May that we can expect our snow to be melted. This time of year is fun for some- deer hunting, snowboarding, skiing, etc but I don’t have any winter sports hobbies so it’s always a long stretch of time for me.
I’ve been reaching for my personal fave, Dr. Lipp, recently for my dry lips. I could use this on my kids if I wanted to but the formula is rather thick and I don’t think they would like a huge coat of lanolin on their lips. For them, I have been reaching for Kiehl’s Baby Lip Balm.

Utilizes a unique blend of ingredients, including Shea Butter and Tocopherol to nourish skin and prevent irritation . In consumer tests, 96% of mothers reported that baby’s skin appeared moisturized and hydrated after application. Pediatrician and Dermatologist tested.
As with most stuff I use on my kiddies, I tested it out first. I like the hydrating and slightly balmy/waxy texture of this lip balm. I like that it’s not super waxy or thick but still leaves my lips hydrated. I worry about the ingredients in stuff I use on my kids so I appreciate that it’s labeled “kids” and I also like that it’s by Kiehl’s, a brand I love and trust.
And look at that sweet, kissable little face! We have to keep her lips moisturized so I’m glad I found something that works!
Just an FYI, I have found a lot of baby stuff works great in my own beauty routine. I use 100% lanolin on my lips at night and you can also use it on chapped nipples from breastfeeding. I use Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo to clean my makeup brushes. There are more too- perhaps I’ll make a post on it sometime.
