Every new release from tarte lately is better than the last. I can’t wait until their holiday stuff comes out! In the meantime though, I am dying over their Amazonian Clay Dual Liner. I am a huge gel eyeliner fan, so of course when I saw that they had a two in one I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

Beyond being totally adorable with the snake on the lid, this beautiful little pot of eyeliner opens up to reveal two shades- bronze and black! I have to admit, being a huge fan of eyeliner, I own several pots of eyeliner in varying shades of bronze, brown, and black. It is wonderful to know there is an option out there to own both in the same pot.

tarte amazonian clay eyelinerCan you stand how glimmery the bronze looks and how inky black the black is here? So pretty!

tarte clay eyeliner swatchI stuck my fingers right in the pot so you could see just how rich these are. The pigmentation is all there! These are touted as being long wearing with a soft, velvet finish, and the black in this pot is tarte’s best selling waterproof clay liner in black.

tarte dual liner 2Using a slanted brush, I applied the black from this duo to my upper eye line, and the bronze to my waterline and lower lash line. I didn’t dunk my head in water to test whether it was waterproof, but I can tell you I wore this on an extremely humid day and it performed beautifully! I had no problems with it melting, and it stayed put until I took it off! I usually like to wear black on my upper lash line and something softer on my lower lash line so this is really the perfect duo for me.

tarte dual liner 1This is a great duo, and for $28 you should definitely pick it up if you are in the market for a new liner. That’s just $14 each shade. I’m loving this and know I’ll be reaching for it a bunch this fall!

Like you, I have many brown and black eyeliner options, but this is so tempting! I love the packaging. Right now, I have a little jar that I’ve filled with little scoops of gel liner in different colors. Got that tip from EnKore to keep my gels from drying out.

I like the concept, but prefer to keep shades separate.

Pretty, but I don’t think I’d like both shades in the same jar–just me.

I don’t like dual creme products. I’ll pass on this.
