My complexion is important to me. I am always on the search for the latest and greatest foundations and powders. These are the products that are sort of “my thing” besides lippies. If you have young kids you are probably the same way. I need all the coverage I can get for my tired skin and always have a few powders going at once!

Today I wanted to share with you the new Inglot HD Pressed Powder. These are available in 5 colors that correspond to the colors in the HD Illuminizing Loose Powder collection.

inglot hd illuminizing pressed powderThe pressed powder is sold in a little plastic sleeve container, and the Inglot compact comes separately. You have to piece them together yourself. I actually really love the compact. It is so sturdy! I don’t think I have anything quite as sturdy as this in all of my collection.

inglot hd illuminizing powderI tried to pick it up a little bit in pictures, but I’m not sure that you’ll be able to tell. It almost looks like it has a grain over the top of the powder. I wouldn’t really call it a pattern but there is definitely some texture on the top of the powder. It’s not something that needs to be broken through, it’s just there and as soon as your brush hits it, you’ll have no problem getting the product out of the pan.

inglot hd powder foundation 2As for the formula, I’m in love. When I first got this, I put my finger in it just to feel what it was like. It was really silky but turned my finger bright white where I swatched it. I immediately thought I got the wrong shade for myself and thought as soon as I wore it I would look like a vampire. The shade I tried out was #402 for reference. After playing with it, I realized my mini freakout was all in my head and this is actually my perfect shade!

The ingredients included here are premium silicone powder and diamond dust, perfect for hiding skin’s little imperfections. There are also film-forming agents to provide a smooth and long-lasting finish. It can also be used to film in high definition, and will keep the skin looking perfect, even on a big screen!

In my experience with this, it did really look nice. I was surprised that a powder that was only $18 would have such a nice finish. I am definitely a high end makeup girl and am used to paying top dollar prices for powder that is as nice as this formula. The day I got this I had to be somewhere important so I didn’t wear it. I don’t like to test products when I am going somewhere that they could fail me. The very next day when I tested this I was disappointed I hadn’t given it a shot, because it totally would have lasted through the event. I wore this in heat and humidity and it performed beautifully, and I suspect this will be added to my routine and replaced once it is gone!

That looks like a nice powder.

I need to fire up my Google Fu and see if Inglot is carried by Macy’s here in the Phoenix Metro area. I’d very much like to play, before I buy, especially with a brand that is new to me.

I wish we had an Inglot store here in Hawaii – shipping is fricken ridiculous to me so I always have my friend buy in Vegas and send it to me.

In the pan it kind of looks like the formula would be chalky so I’m glad to hear it’s anything but that. I don’t really own much Inglot so I may have to play with them more at the NYC store next month.
