Today I want to introduce you to one of my favorite new launches from one of my favorite brands of all time, L’Ocittane’s Verbena Frisson Collection. I’ve been obsessed with fresh scents this summer and L’Occitane has yet to do me wrong! This particular fragrance is inspired by the summertime verbena harvest in Provence. Freshly picked verbena leaves travel along rivers and streams and their scent blends with the fresh running water. Frisson de Verveine is a sparkling, aqueous fragrance that blends top notes of lemon and bergamot with a heart of fresh verbena and cucumber.
Of course, I first want to show you the Eau de Toilette. This is an absolutely gorgeous bottle that I cannot WAIT to display on my vanity. L’Occitane makes the most gorgeous, chic glass bottles for their fragrances and this is no exception. I love the raised glass leaf the bottle is adorned with. This scent lingers for hours, especially when layered with other parts of the fragrance collection, but even by itself, it does last forever!
Immediately after spraying the L’Occitane Frisson de Verveine fragrance I detect the sweet lemon smell, but it’s overpowered by the verbena and cucumber. After waiting a few minutes for it to dry down, I really detect the lemon notes right away. It is such a fresh and fabulous fragrance!
The Frisson Verbena Fresh Shower Gel creates my new favorite shower experience. Shower time is my favorite time of the day- whether I get a chance to bathe in the morning or the evening doesn’t matter, but I love applying shower gel. It is my one time I get to myself for a few minutes during the day and I love to relax and let the scent of my body wash mix with the hot water and totally envelop me in the fragrance.
This shower gel has little bubbles in it, that I almost thought were exfoliating beads at first. It turns out they are just little infused bubbles. It makes me think of the sparkling streams the verbena leaves travel along. I highly recommend getting the shower gel to intensify the fragrance- they work magically together!
The Frisson Verbena Bath Salts are the one piece of the line I haven’t tried yet. I don’t take baths all that often but I have plans this week to soak my feet in the tub with some of these salts. I think that will be so invigorating for me to soak my big, swollen preggo feet!
And lastly, my absolute favorite piece of the line, the Frisson Verbena Gel for Legs and Feet has been totally rocking my world lately. I was taking pictures before I realized that this awesome little gel comes with a roller ball, so you can’t see it in this post, but I will show you in another one soon! It is formulated with a combination of cypress essential oils and althea officinalis to intensely refresh skin and tired legs.I can tell you this preggo is LOVING this on my feet and legs. It is seriously amazing.
If you are wondering what my favorite way to cool off this summer is, click here and check out my extra amazing duo that works every time! My favorite way to apply this product is right before bed on my legs and feet, and then I don’t sleep with covers and I turn the fan on so it’s blowing right at my legs. If you are familiar with Wisconsin humidity, you will know exactly how refreshing this sounds!
I am in love with this collection! Is there anything here you are dying to try? I am sure some of these products will be coming up in future favorites posts!
