I’ve been really into primers lately, pretty much since writing this post, so of course when I had the chance to check out the Korres Pomegranate Mattifying Primer I was all over it. This is a water-based, mattifying, pore minimizing, and skin-perfecting primer.

In the summer months I am looking for a primer that will keep my makeup from sweating off my face, give me hydration, and keep my pores looking non existent. This primer has met all of these expectations with flying colors, and in extreme humidity! It has a slight nude tint but applies pretty much completely sheer on me. It has a fresh scent, I don’t pick up on the pomegranate at all, it’s more like a spring rain scent to me. It makes my skin look and feel great. I’ve been reaching for it daily for about two weeks now!

If I could come up with one complaint, it’s that this comes in a little metal tube. Once you push into it for the first time it will have a dent in it. I’ve had bad luck with this style of tube in the past, as it eventually gets poked by something in my makeup bag and gets a hole in it. This hasn’t happened yet and I’m storing it separately so hopefully the packaging is no big deal.

FYI, it’s formulated without- parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs, and triclosan.

If you have combination dry skin like I do, check this out next time you’re at Sephora. I think you might really like it!

I haven’t tried many makeup items from Korres. I like that they are more natural and have no GMOs etc. Great review!
