I’m not one to get super stoked about hand cream usually, but I tried these new hand balms by Glowology and I have to admit I’m obsessed. They are so nice. Even if you’re not really into lotion, I think you’ll really like these. I’m approaching my 7th month of pregnancy next week and have been using the bathroom about three times an hour. Washing my hands three times an hour or more has really taken a toll on my skin. I am happy to say Glowology has been passing the test as far as keeping my skin looking and feeling great! Read on for more info.

glowology hand balm reviewpress sample

The Glowology Hand Balms have pure shea butter with natural alpha-hydroxy acids and provide long-lasting moisture while softening and exfoliating dry rough skin. The balms are available in four scents and retail for $12 each.

At first glance, when I saw these came in metal tubes, I have to admit my heart sank a little. I have a favorite hand lotion I no longer use very much because the packaging can’t be taken anywhere. It gets bent and crinkled up and it’s easy to crack and then the lotion seeps out. These are nothing like that thankfully. They have the metal look to them but the packaging doesn’t crinkle up like I thought it would!

glowology hand balms 2Each tube has a different message on the front and a distinctly different scent.

Glowology smile. wish. believe. This energetic fragrance opens with invigorating top notes of juniper and pineapple. The middle emerges softly with peony and freesia, counterbalanced with violet leaf and neroli. It drives down with vetiver, sandalwood and musk.

They are not kidding when they call this an energetic fragrance! It’s smells warm and cheerful to me. I can really pick up on the freesia and sandalwood. It’s a very comforting scent.

Glowology renew. thrive. flourish. This fragrance opens with an ocean breeze and ozone top notes, giving of a clean fresh airy energy. The floral middle emerges softly with jasmine, ylang, orange blossom, and water lily notes. It dries down with a sandalwood and musk accord.

This is my favorite scent. It smells fresh like spring rain to me. I can definitely detect the water lily. This is a really great scent and probably the most unisex of the bunch. Love it!

glowology hand balms 3Glowology heart. soul. mind. This sweet cherry blossom fragrance opens with sparkling top notes of pineapple and leafy greens. The middle emerges with a floral cherry blossom, mimosa and rose fusion. It dries down with a blend of woods softened with vanilla, amber and musk.

This is a pretty floral scent. I can definitely detect the cherry blossoms. It’s kind of powdery as well. It’s really nice!

Glowology imagine. discover. renew. This clean, fresh fragrance opens with crisp white cotton and ocean notes. The middle emerges with a floral burst of blue freesia and jasmine, accented with green pear. It finishes with a fusion of ocean, musk, sandalwood, vanilla, and amber.

This is another favorite of mine. It’s a really crisp floral scent. I think this would also be a good unisex choice. It’s very fresh and it’s funny that I thought it was an ocean smell before I even read the label. How do you bottle the ocean? But really, it does smell like it.

glowology hand balmThese are super nice and come packaged with a foil underneath the cap that you have to peel off before squeezing. They are dermatologist-tested for sensitive skin so I feel good about using them on my daughter as well. The key ingredients are shea butter, sunflower oil, salicylic acid, bilberry, and sugar cane.

When I apply these the texture is light and almost whipped. It sinks in instantly to my hands and the benefits of using it are apparent immediately. The scent does linger for a few minutes, but after that it won’t compete with any fragrance you’re wearing. Like I stated previously, I’m using the bathroom and washing my hands about three times an hour lately, so I got a lot of mileage out of these even in one day. At the end of the day, I was able to test all four scents out several times and I can attest that my hands feel better than ever!

My almost two year old is in a total copy cat stage right now, always wanting to do what mommy is doing. Every time I applied one of the Glowology hand balms today, she held her hands out and I gave her some, and she rubbed it right in. She went around smelling her hands all day. When my husband got home from work she had him start smelling her hands and she kept saying “mmmm!” It was adorable. They are really wonderful and everyone in my household knows it now!

I am glad the scent doesn’t linger. When I wear perfume, that’s all I want to smell.

These sound amazing. I stopped carrying my L’occitane hand cream cause the metal would totally open and crack and leak 🙁 so I switched to carrying bath and body works paraffin lotion. But the heart.soul.mind sounds dreamy and Shea Butter is extra bonus. Great review.

The cracking is what made me stop carrying around my Hemp Hands from The Body Shop. I love that stuff, but for the price and for the crap packaging, I don’t want it leaking everywhere!

These don’t sound appealing to me scent-wise. But the formula and how they work sounds nice!

I’ve seen these around but wasn’t sure I needed them. Now I’m leaning towards a “yes” 🙂
