LORAC recently came out with some fun new makeup products and I wanted to show them to you! I tested out their 3D Lustre/Liner and their Alter Ego lipsticks. Check out my thoughts below!

I am a huge liquid eyeliner junkie so trying new ones from any brand is intriguing to me. My all time favorite is from Lancome but is extremely expensive, so I’m always looking for a lower priced dupe that will make me happy. These from LORAC contain a shimmery liner on one end and the other end has a color-infused black shade. Below, Pewter/Black Slate is on the left and Diamond/Black Ink is on the right. They retail at $19 each.
These will probably never replace my fancy every day liquid liner but they’re super fun to use. They have a tiny brush tip applicator but they’re easy to control. I get around 6 hours of wear out of these before they start to fade on me. I really love the option for a glitter liner. I’ve been wearing the black shade as my top liner, and the sparkly shade as my bottom liner. They’re super pretty! Getting lots of pigmentation out of them takes a few coats but it’s worth it.
The Alter Ego lipsticks come in gorgeous colors but the texture surprised me. They are super soft and contain acai berry, pomegranate, grape seed extract, and vitamins C and E. What I think is so interesting about the texture is that it’s highly pigmented and has an opaque, matte finish. For me, these require a little work to wear. I need to exfoliate my lips and moisturize them well the night before wearing them or they are not flattering on me.
Heiress, Socialite, CEO
I don’t know if you can tell from the swatches above, but they have an almost chalky or cakey coating to them. They are very creamy and very opaque in one swipe. The lightest two shades were not great with my skin tone, but CEO was super pretty. These are definitely worth working with but if you are used to a glossy or a matte lipstick, this is a little different than you’ll find here. This is a very creamy and very opaque lipstick and very matte and come across as a little shocking at first if you’re not expecting the coverage you’ll get.
I’d recommend trying these in stores first to find the right shade and determine if you like the texture or not. They retail at $16 which is pretty average for a nice lipstick. Overall these have gotten glowing reviews from most bloggers!
Have you tried either of these products? What did you think?
