In our move from Washington to Wisconsin, I was able to pack a few hair products in my suitcase, but my space was limited. I actually had a 55 lb. suitcase rather than the 50 lbs. I was supposed to have and somehow dodged the overweight bag fee. In an effort to cut back on some weight last minute I threw a bunch of my hair products out of my bag. I figured that while “weightless” was in the name, the Moroccanoil Weightless Hydrating Mask weighed at least a pound!
I have to admit I regretted leaving this out of my bag. It DID save me suitcase space, but it was at the expense of my hair not feeling nearly as nice as it usually does. I’ve been so glad the past couple weeks that I’ve had this back in my possession as it makes a world of difference in how my hair cooperates!
I have been a long time fan of the Moroccanoil brand, and use all of their products regularly. The one thing that has been in my rotation for at least the past five years has been the Intense Hydrating Mask. I can’t remember the last time I have gone without a huge tub of this in my shower. I just recently tried the Weightless Hydrating Mask and I actually like this even more!
The Intense Hydrating Mask is for thick and coarse hair like mine, whereas the Weightless Hydrating Mask is meant to revive fine and limp or dry hair. I wash my hair every other day, which ends up being 3-4 times a week. I like to use shampoo and conditioner, then use a mask on the bottom half of my hair. I leave it on while shaving my legs, then rinse it out. About once a week, I mask my hair from the roots to the ends. I don’t like to do this every time with the regular mask because it tends to weigh my hair down. I have color treated hair that requires a lot of TLC so I really think masking is important and makes a difference, and that’s why I do it so frequently!
The reason I like the Weightless Hydrating Mask so much is because it’s just a touch lighter than the regular version. I can apply this as often as I want and it doesn’t weigh my hair down. The texture is very similar, and really the only difference I can tell between the two is that this is one is not so thick in application. It makes it absolutely perfect for applying every day and I never have a problem with my hair feeling weighed down. I can use this as much as I want and I get the same great effect!
I’m so glad to be reunited with my Moroccanoil Weightless Hydrating Mask. Do you have a hair mask you gravitate towards?

This is one of my favorite hair masques! I just have to be careful with how much I use because it can make my hair greasy when I overdo it.

I frequently deep condition my hair so this would be great to cut down on any buildup from heavier formulas

I love their line it’s just really hard to find their products in my neck of the woods. My current fave mask is the eva-nyc Hair Therapy i got in my Ipsy bag but it has proteins in it so I cannot use it as often as I would this one. I might just break down and place an order. My hair went from hating anything Moroccan Oil to loving it. Go figure.
