I am a huge fan of Lancome products so I wanted to show you two essentials in my makeup bag during the summer months. I have been obsessed with the Star Bronzer palette and Gloss in Love! I own a ton of Lancome products but these are two that I have been gravitating towards lately and for good reason!
The Star Bronzer in Bronze Essence is a gorgeous trio of shades. From left to right you have a blush, a bronzer, and a highlighter. These are formulated for use on any skintone and any face shape. I don’t know how well they would work with a super dark complexion, but for my fair skin they work beautifully. If I had to change anything, I might make the highlighter slightly lighter, but really, this is perfection. The blush comes off as a coral pink on my skin and looks very natural. It has a hint of shimmer but doesn’t overwhelm.
As you can see on the left swatch, the highlighter is a golden shade. This will look especially stunning in the summer, but right now if I put some of this on my cheekbones over top of the bronzer it still really makes them pop! I love that the bronzer isn’t super dark and it is matte on me. All of the shades have a bit of a gleam to them so I wouldn’t call them flat by any stretch. This is how I’ve been getting a natural flush lately and I’ve been loving it!
Gloss in Love in Scarlett has been my go to for a sheer, shiny lip with a tinge of red. It’s very subtle but feels luxuriously soft and smooth on my lips and works with every single outfit because it’s so sheer. The applicator is also very special on this product. As you can see above, there’s a push button. Rather than twisting out the doe foot applicator, you simply press the button and the wand comes out the top. It’s pretty fancy shmancy!
Even the doe foot applicator doesn’t disappoint. The wand kind is curved and kind of hugs my lips, and definitely makes it easier to apply product to my upper lip. The glosses also claim to have 6 hours of moisture, which doesn’t surprise me because my lips feel so good even after the gloss fades away.
I’m wearing both products in this picture, and as you can see they are very natural! These were taken a couple weeks ago before I had the first signs of a summer tan but I’m still rocking these shades a few weeks later with a darker skin tone.
In my opinion, these are perfect for your makeup bag this summer if you are gravitating towards easy, flattering, and subtle makeup! Check out the links below if you are interested in learning more.
