I’ve been looking for a great winter moisturizer all season, and I’ve found one that I think will fit the bill for many of you! I got my hands on Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Fibroblast Anti-Aging
Moisturizer and had my mom test it. She’s in her early 50’s and so I thought she would be the perfect candidate to test out an anti-aging product for me!
So what is it supposed to do? It can be used day and night to treat the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles at the surface level and beyond, works to strengthen the skin’s regenerative ability, increase the skin’s natural moisture barrier, and restore elasticity. Here are some of the awesome skincare benefits:
Ferulic Acid: Sun damage protection; plant-based antioxidant that enhances properties of other vitamins for healthy skin
Retinol: Helps smooth wrinkles and lines while increasing moisture & elasticity
Ellagic Acid: Helps with photoaging
Gallic Acid: Helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and as a potent antioxidant provides free radical protection
Collagen: Nourishes, hydrates, and helps restore damaged skin
Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates & plumps the skin
Centella Asiatica: Anti-aging & healing; stimulates collagen production
Glycolic Acid: Reduces visible signs of aging
At first glance, this product looks so creamy and delicious! And at first whiff it really is yummy. The moisturizer has a slightly cinnamon orange spicy scent. The texture is creamy and soaks into the skin rather than sitting on top. There is a slight tingle when it is applied. Overall my mom noticed that her skin looked healthier and brighter after using this product, which she attributed to the retinol. She has a very dry patch that did not go away when using this product, but then again she lives in the polar vortex of Wisconsin, and this product is not targeted towards dry patches! After about a month and a half of use day and night, she is almost finished with the jar. She is definitely happy enough with it to purchase more and is curious how this would work for her in the summer when her skin isn’t so dry. It definitely helped with fine lines and wrinkles, so that’s always a bonus! I’ve always loved testing out Dr. Dennis Gross skincare! Have you tried anything from them? I’d love to hear about it.
