Our Sephora inside JCP just got a huge Bite Beauty endcap. I’m seriously dying over just about everything and I’ve been visiting it/drooling over it lately trying to decide what my first purchase would be. My first ever Bite Beauty purchase was on a trip to Seattle where I snapped up their lipstick in Granache (I’ve had it for a year and a half and have yet to review it- for shame!) and I kind of forgot about the line after that. I picked up Vigne the other day (review to come soon) and on that same trip I noticed that they had a lip sampler out at the register. I’m almost positive these are leftovers from Christmas because I can’t find them online, but all of these colors are part of their permanent collection, so I thought I’d post about them here!

This collection is of their High Pigment Pencils in Quince, Rhubarb, Cranberry, and Madeira. Cranberry was limited edition, but it looks to be part of their permanent line now. This is such a perfect range of shades!

They come in a gorgeous little tin and are packaged in there pretty tightly! I don’t know what I’ll do with this tin, but it’s definitely nice enough to repurpose!

Although these are smaller than size than the full size, there is still a lot of product here. I rarely run out of a lip pencil or lipstick, so a little smaller is just fine with me!

They come to a pointed tip at the top as you can see in this picture. I am completely obsessed with these High Pigment Pencils. I need to own all the colors! The colors go on vibrantly, and the texture is creamy but doesn’t move around on your lips. The pointed applicator allows me to apply these with precision to my lips. The finish looks matte, but a creamy matte, almost with a glossy type sheen to it. They make my lips look so healthy because they don’t cling to dry patches or fade off in a weird pattern. They are relatively long wearing. I can easily get a few hours of out of these if I’m not eating or drinking.

Madeira- nude pink
Cranberry- deep red
Rhubarb- plum rose
Quince- rose berry
I was pleasantly surprised to love each of the shades in this sampler. From just the color on the tube, Madeira looked like it would be completely unflattering and flesh toned, but the shade comes off as a really pretty nude pink. Rhubarb kind of reminds me of Buxom Hooligan, which is one of my all time favorite shades. I love that there’s something in here for any lipstick need you might have- a classy red, a nude, a neutral rose, and a bright berry.
If you fall in love with Bite Beauty, keep your eyes peeled. They have a couple double ended mini lipsticks near the register in Sephora right now so it’s a great way to try some of these shades. That’s probably where I’ll move to next! I need all the pretty colors!
