After falling asleep with my makeup on (which I never do!) several times in recent weeks, and being lazy with my skincare routine, my skin needed a little TLC. I love FarmHouse Fresh products, and their Sundae Best Chocolate Softening Mask is my most recent love from their collection. This 98% natural mask has lots of chocolatey goodness going on, and if you are a chocolate lover, all the better for you. You will adore this mask.

You can tell in the picture, the mask looks like a chocolate souffle. It looks and smells chocolatey, almost so much that you feel like you want to eat it! I didn’t taste it, but it certainly smelled delicious enough to! The claims FarmHouse Fresh’s company makes about the mask:
  • pulls impurities and dead skin cells from pores
  • anti-aging natural extracts infuse skin with  nutrients and moisture, softening the effects of wrinkles, sagging, and dryness
  • fragrance-free and antioxidant rich, paraben and sulfate-free, 98% natural
  • repairs the effects of free radical damage without over-drying skin, and helps maintain collagen levels and improve skin texture
Ingredients: kaolin and bentonite clays; vitamins A, C, and E; coenzyme Q10; ginseng extract; live carrot cells; cocoa; honey; coconut oil; sweet almond oil; jojoba oil; macadamia oil

I applied this mask and left it on for around 10 minutes. As the mask dried, it tightened a little bit on my skin. Similar masks have left my skin feeling dried out and sapped all the moisture from my skin when they dried in the same way this mask did. I was concerned about it, so I washed it off right away, and much to my surprise, my skin felt great. I think the key is to wash this off right when it dries, rather than waiting an extended period of time for it to tighten to your skin.
It actually made a pretty significant difference in my skin, which made me pretty happy! Along with just being a soothing experience overall with the scent of chocolate, my skin did feel quite a bit softer after washing this off. I had some pimples that were starting to emerge on my chin- break outs from being terrible with skincare lately- and when I woke up this morning, they were mostly gone.
Without a microscope, I couldn’t really attest to other benefits like free radical damage, but I did feel that my skin felt and looked improved in texture after only one use. A 3.2 oz glass jar is only $20, so I feel that for the price, you get a decent amount. I would definitely recommend this to someone wanting a pampering experience and softer skin.
