Nothing to Disclose
In recent months, Sigma Beauty has revolutionized the way women clean their makeup brushes! I don’t know about y’all, but up until recently, here’s how I clean my brushes.
1. Squirt cleanser/brush cleaner into the palm of my hand.2. Take dirty brush and swirl it around in the cleanser, smashing brush against my hand repeatedly.3. Squeeze bristles until the water runs clear.4. Set aside to dry.
Easy peasy! I never even considered changing how I cleaned my brushes, because to my knowledge, there was no other way. Enter Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove. Now, for $39 we can wear a peculiar silicone glove and clean our brushes more efficiently, without touching them with our actual hand. Kind of brilliant! Except I thought it looked really familiar- what slips onto your hand, has many silicone bumps, and (for many) is a household item?
Answer: My dog’s grooming glove!
I rarely use a dog brush on him so it took some digging, but sure enough, my dog’s grooming glove is a fraction of the cost and very similar. I tested it out and sure enough, it did a superb job of cleaning my brushes. Having a surface to clean the brushes on with little spikes to get between the bristles is quite effective at getting the foundation, blush, eye shadow and other makeup remnants down the drain faster than my hand smash method from before.
Which would you spring for? I know I’ll stick with the grooming glove and forget about the $39 option! I’m always in the mood to save money and in this instance I’d much rather go for the dupe! Tell me which you would spring for in the comments below!
