So…if you’re new here you may not know that I just underwent a HUGE blog transformation. If you’re old, you may be wondering why my blog no longer looks like a 5th grader designed it. I really wanted to up my ante and make my blog look professional and fantastic, and I think Studio Eleven designs did a great job making my “dreams” become a reality. Want to know more about the face behind the blog? Read on!

1. Tell us about you!

I’ve been married to the cutest Texan for about a year and a half, and we are disgustingly in love. He’s an engineering student at Brigham Young University, and I’m a full-time PR student at Utah Valley University. We are crazy busy with our last year of classes and our part-time jobs, but in our spare time we find time to play tennis together, watch countless reruns of “How I Met Your Mother” and sometimes, husband even gives me Bulgarian lessons! We work hard, play hard, and would love for you to stop by our little blog and play with us!
2. What is your blog? What do you write about there?
I actually have two blogs: Mr. D & Me and Borrowed & Blue. Mr. D & Me is where I share all the happy, crazy, random things that college, marriage, and life have brought me, and Borrowed & Blue is a budget wedding & event blog that I started as a school project that has taken off into quite the little site. I would love to have y’all come by for a visit on both of them!
3. How did you get into blog design?
I’ve never taken any classes or anything, but I have taught myself how to do a lot just by messing around with my own blog. I started getting tons of emails asking who did my blog design and even a few from people asking if they could pay me to design theirs, so I thought, “Why not?” I added a listing for blog design to my Etsy shop and the rest is history!
4. What are some of your favorite blogs you’ve designed?
I have little parts of each blog that I am ridiculously proud of, like Justina’s category buttons, or the sidebar on Lovelies by Lo, or the about page on Permelia
5. What are some blogs that have provided inspiration when you are doing other peoples’ blogs?
I love seeing the different sites my clients bring me for inspiration, but my favorite has to be Saffron Avenue. She posts the most perfect color inspirations and I could get lost looking at them for hours!
6. What is your favorite part of blog design? Least favorite?
I really enjoy designing something that my clients love. There is nothing better than getting an email telling me how much they adore their new design! Sometimes, I get frustrated when some people seem to think my time is not worth anything and refuse to pay me for services I provided because they “changed their mind” about wanting a blog design, but the satisfaction I get from helping people produce their vision of the perfect blog greatly outweighs the occasional frustration!
6. What are some specials you have going for your blog design right now and why should people have YOU do their blog?
If you purchase a blog design and mention that Justina sent you, you will receive a free signature & favicon! 🙂
You should have ME design your blog over anyone else for three reasons:
#1- I don’t charge $250. I have done research and made my services the most affordable because I don’t think you should have to waste hundreds of dollars on something that will only take me a few hours to do.
#2- I will work with you until it’s perfect. I’m not one of those designers who will charge you extra for revisions to my work. I understand that sometimes you don’t know what you want until you see it on your blog, and I’m 100% okay with that!
#3- I’m new at this, and I don’t know everything, but if you ask me for something that I don’t know how to do, I will do the research until I can learn it well enough to produce it for your blog. I am completely dedicated to help you design what you have envisioned I believe that I can produce as good of work as those who have been doing design for years for a fraction of the cost.

I wanted to share my personal experiences working with Brielle too! She was an absolute dream to work with, very patient when doing revisions, and priced VERY reasonably. If you are looking for an update for your blog, I highly recommend checking her out (before she starts charging in the hundreds- she’s THAT good).
