Today I bring to you a product by CellCeuticals called PhotoDefense Color Radiance SPF 55+.  This is an antiaging, hydrating cream that comes in 3 different shades- Fair, Medium, and Tan.  It retails at $47.50 for 2 fl. oz.  The color that matched me the best was Fair, pictured below.

This product is essentially CellCeuticals’ version of a BB cream.  I love that it has a super high SPF of 55.  A lot of products have an SPF of 10 or 15 which I think is kind of silly, because that’s not nearly enough to shield you from the dangers of the sun.  Color Radiance provides UVA/UVB protection, protection against oxidative stress, and advanced glycation.

On top of having a great amount of SPF, this high potency formula is antioxidant fortified, and clinically, efficacy, dermatologist, opthamologist, and irritancy tested, noncomedogenic, fragrance and paraben free, and is not tested on animals or containing of animal products.  Wow!  Could the list of good attributes get any longer?!
The formula to this product is similar to a foundation.  I was surprised that the fair shade of this (their lightest shade) seemed just a touch darker than my skin tone.  I was able to blend it in pretty well at the jaw line, so it didn’t bother me.  The consistency was a little on the thicker side, but blended down to nothing with a little bit of work.  I had a little trouble getting it to sink into my skin by simply rubbing it on, so I would suggest using a brush or sponge.  The coverage is light to medium, which is enough if your skin is in pretty good shape already.  I prefer to use this as a moisturizer and light foundation base to a fuller coverage powder.  I really liked the finish when I set it, but in the summer I could see wearing this alone.
All in all, this is a great product.  Would I spend the high price tag in the future?  We’ll see- there is a TON of product in this 2 fl. oz. product and a little has been going a long way.  I can’t imagine running out any time in the near future!
Is this a product that you have heard of or would ever try?
Thanks for reading!

    Hi, new reader here.

This totally is a product I’d try. I like how it has SPF55, as SPF30 is the bare minimum I have to wear to leave the house. The Fair shade looks like it may work for me.
