Lately, I’ve been getting ready in a rush but still want to look put together. When I have about 5 minutes to get my face on and get my hair looking good, these are the products I have been reaching for! The key to why I’ve been reaching for these is because they are all high quality, foolproof, easy to use, and allow me to cut steps in getting ready while still looking good. Read on for more info!
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo– I’ve been spraying this on my roots and on my hair all over and can’t get enough of it. It’s only $6 for an enormous can (7 oz.) that seemingly will never go empty. I am a dry shampoo fanatic because I think it’s perfect for days you’re low on time and want to spruce up your hair. A body shower is much quicker than a hair and body shower and can save you major time in the winter because you won’t have to blowdry! I really like the fresh, clean scent of this and the fact that it doesn’t leave major residue all over my hair. For $6 I plan on buying a refill when I run out. Locally, the only place that sells it is Shopko, but you can also find it at CVS and some other stores. How cool is it that they have a store locator where you can type in your zipcode and it’ll tell you where you can purchase it nearby? Love that.
Avon Flawless Ideal Foundation– I recently got a chance to try some of this and I must say I’m a huge fan! I have about 10 bottles of foundation going right now (no joke) from all the product testing I do, but if I ever run out, this would be a definite purchase for me. For $11, it does a fantastic job and stands up to many of the high end foundations I own. It looks and feels like my own skin, only better!
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer– It’s been a while since I’ve reached for this bronzing powder, but with the hot cocoa scent that is baked in to this, I can’t get enough of it! It’s a matte bronzer too, so it won’t leave disco ball shimmer all over your face. Also, if you work it into the hollows of your cheeks and around your hairline just right, it can help make your face look thinner! (It’s called contouring).
beautyADDICTS glimmerSHEERS– I have many products that perform like this luminizer, like benefit’s High Beam, and others in stick form, but there’s something I like about using a solid luminizer. It comes in a pan that you can stick your fingers in so make sure they’re clean before using it. I like how easy it is to use and it wakes up my face when I put it on my cheekbones, my browbones, on my cupid’s bow, and the inner corners of my eyes.
benefit’s Creaseless Cream Shadows– Most people would probably think I’m nuts to spend $19 on an eyeshadow base when there are many dupes around for this cream shadow but I’ve been obsessed with these for so many years there is no going back. I discovered these when I was in my early 20s and have since owned almost every color they come in. I haven’t found anything I’ve liked as much (including the Maybelline Color Tattoo). They come in the best colors and can be worn alone, as liner, or layered with shadow. I love all the colors but I’ve been obsessed with the shade “skinny jeans” lately because it’s such a beautiful and wearable pewter shade that looks good all by itself.
Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara– This product is only carried at Sephora at the moment but is well worth ordering or stopping by to check it out. It comes in several colors but the one I use the most often is the black. Unlike many wet mascaras that take forever to dry on your lashes and make a mess in the meantime, this mascara dries almost instantly on the lashes. It is also a very soft formula, so no crunchy lashes here! My lashes are longer, have more volume, and are very black when I wear this. It’s no nonsense, and easy to use and by one of my favorite brands so definitely worth checking out.
Billion Dollar Brows Tint– This may be my favorite product PERIOD lately. It is amazingly easy to use and my new favorite way to do my brows in the morning. I have dark hair and brows and I think my appearance looks much tidier in general if I groom my eyebrows. I love the convenience of the applicator- it is a mascara wand housed in a tube of tinted gel. You basically unscrew the lid, apply the mascara wand to your eyebrow while slicking it in place, and voila! You’re done! It dries soft as well, so no crunchy eyebrows. I’ve tried brow products before that leave them crunchy and itchy, and when I itch, it flakes off. Not a cute look!
Rain Cosmetics Lip Therapy in Peach– If you love adorable products this stuff is for you. The raindrop shaped applicator is super cute. Of course my husband said it looks like a mini weapon with the sharp tip of the raindrop- you could really take someone out with it! The peach color in the jar goes on the lips mostly sheer with a hint of shimmer. It’s the kind of product that you could wear to bed or under lipstick or on its own. It’s very moisturizing and with the dry fall air we’ve been experiencing lately I don’t let this out of my sight!
And lastly, here’s a pic of me wearing all of the above mentioned products! Love them! What do you wear when you need to get ready in 5 minutes or less? Please share with me in the comments below 🙂
