Not only is Tangerine Tango in the Fall Color Report, but it was also labeled Color of the Year, so it must be pretty cool. This color makes me so undeniably happy. Why? Because it is one of the easiest to wear and it really livens up the skin. It is surprisingly flattering on most skin tones. If you are a little shy, stick with a fun scarf like the one pictured, or wear it in a black based pattern like in the shirt next to it.
Here are a couple ways I love to incorporate this color into my wardrobe-
Lip and cheek color-
My favorite orange shades for this time of year come from Clinique. Their Chubby Stick in Oversized Orange and Butter Shine lipstick in Ambrosia are two of my top picks for orange-y lips. Hard Candy’s Fox in a Box Blush in Skinny Dippin’ is one of my all time favorite hues to wear on the cheeks. It’s ultra flattering and not over the top.
LCN Nail polish sells a gorgeous shade called “Spice Up Your Life” for $7.50 on their website. Gotta love it! It’s a perfect orange and yes, it does make me want to tango.
Looking for a snazzy shoe but don’t want to overspend OR wear the same exact shoe everyone else seems to have? Look no further than a monthly subscription to http://www.shoedazzle.com. For $39.99 a month you get your very own handpicked showroom full of shoes. You can opt to skip, but anytime you buy it will cost you under $40 for a cute pair of shoes. This is my favorite place to shop when I need a cute pair of flats and I always get mad compliments on them. They sell boots too, which you can’t beat for that price!
If you haven’t tried Pure Plant Spa‘s Lavender and Tangerine scents, you must. Their lotion is to die for, and everything in their line has good-for-your-skin ingredients. Can’t beat it!
Doesn’t this gorgeous hue get you all excited for Halloween and pumpkin pie? I can’t wait for that time of year to come and it’s sooo close!
