I have long since been a fan of MUFE products. I discovered them on New Year’s Eve when I was 21. My cousin and I were in Chicago picking out makeup to wear for our fabulous night of clubbing we were planning. As always, the ladies at Sephora were directing me to different lines based upon what I was looking for and who had the best of what. When I said I was looking for a fantastic concealer to cover up my dark circles, they led me to that counter and to a product that was so great I used it to the last drop. I should put that back on my lust list! But for now…I will share with you two more great products I got to test out from their line that I love equally as much!
This is a great mascara. Mascara more than anything requires me to try it time and time again before I feel confident doing a review on it. Why? Because sometimes I think they need a little “warming up” and they get better with time. I tried this particular one several ways- painted straight on my lashes, with primer first, using an eyelash curler, eyelash curler and primer AND mascara, having the product from the wand last for the application of both sets of lashes, and dipping back in for the second set. I know I’m a little crazy, but I wanted to give a great review! I’m super picky about my lashes.
I felt like this mascara performed the best when I curled my lashes first, and used a fresh brush full of goop for each set of lashes. This mascara is exclusive to Sephora, which is kind of cool. You can’t get it anywhere else! I tried Rich Black, and true to its description, it is an ultra pigmented black. It is supposed to give “an exceptional volume enhancing effect with infinite lengthening and immediate curling.” I buy all of it except for the curling- I did feel like I needed a little boost from an eyelash curler to get the full effect, but then again, I find myself doing that with most mascaras.
All in all, it’s an exceptional mascara that performs much like many of my high end mascaras. I love the definition it gives me when I wiggle my wand left to right starting at the root of the lashes. It’s a great mascara that I look forward to using with my smoky looks, neutral looks, really any look at all!
Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N37 Iridescent Icy Coral, $19
True to its description, this lipstick has a smooth texture and very colorful pigment. It’s long wearing and looks and feels high end. Some lipsticks will feather on your lips as the day goes onwards, or fade leaving a ring around your mouth. This one sticks to your lips and keeps them hydrated and colorful throughout the day!
I really dig the shade of this lipstick. I feel like it would look great on cool or warm toned skin, AND a bonus is that it’s coral. Aside from orange being color of the year, it’s a great shade for summer and suits all skin tones, so when your tan fades in the fall, it’ll still be looking great with your complexion. And it looks great with a gold glimmery gloss over top too! Winning!
I really enjoyed these products by MUFE. They were provided for review but it did not affect my opinion in any way, nor was I compensated for this review.
