Hey ladies!  Sorry I’ve been a little elusive on our blog lately.  I promise to keep up with the posts more consistently throughout the summer.  I really enjoy blogging and sharing my beauty experiences and reviews on products with all of you, and have missed it greatly the past two weeks.  I was visiting my family and friends in WI and didn’t have reliable internet access at my parents’ house.
But the perk to being off the internet for 2 weeks?  I tried a bunch of fun new products while I was gone and I’m bursting at the seams to share them with you!
My mom bought me a little sample bottle of both the shampoo and conditioner from Organix’s Moroccan Argan Oil line.  I’ve only seen these at Target, but I’m sure they’re sold elsewhere also.  13 fl. oz retails for about $7.99
Here’s what this product claims to do:

This rare formula has a centuries-old history of providing natural vitamin E and antioxidants while renewing your hair’s cell structure, sealing in shine, and creating lush softness. A precious blend of Moroccan argan oil which instantly penetrates the hair shaft restoring shine and softness while strengthening. Derived from the southwest region of Morocco, argan oil protects from styling heat and UV damage while creating soft, seductive, silky perfection.

I used this and only this for 2 weeks straight.  I rarely ever use a shampoo and conditioner exclusively without rotating every few days.  This product was only okay, not super special in my opinion.  I’ve tried the high end MoroccanOil brand and love it, and this stuff doesn’t compare to me.  I didn’t find my hair to be overly shiny, soft, or lush while using this product.  It wasn’t the worst shampoo and conditioner I’ve tried, but wasn’t my favorite either.  I really wanted the product to last two weeks without running out so I used slightly less than usual, but still about a quarter sized amount.  Could that be why I’m not loving it?

This is one situation where I would be open to trying a bigger bottle and rotating it with my other shampoos and conditioners to give it more of a fair run.  The way I used it the last two weeks I felt like my hair was a little dried out and not overly shiny or soft.  I generally have better luck when I rotate a product, so every couple days different needs my hair has are getting met- clarifying, moisturizing, hydrating, luster, softening, etc are just a few of the many needs my products target.

What is your current favorite shampoo and conditioner?

Yours in Beauty,
Justina

I haven’t tried this shampoo and conditioner in this line, but I just started using their extra-moisturizing argan oil a few weeks ago and I love it. I found it after I tried a more expensive brand and was look for a more affordable version. ($24 for 1oz of oil? No thanks. 3.3oz of Organix argan oil cost me $7.99!)

Lauren- I think I have another product of theirs that I should review but now I can’t think of what it is. It’s a serum and smells like coconut, and I love it! Haven’t used it in a month or so though. I’m really picky about shampoo/conditioner so that may be why I wasn’t in love with these, but hair serums are pretty easy to find in many price ranges and are usually pretty good quality! -Justina
