Hello Ladies!  Today I bring to you all of my bronzers.  Before you choke on the sheer amount, keep in mind I built up my collection over a few years and they are high end and low end.  Since there are so many I’ll keep it brief!

Rimmel Bronzer in Sun Dance and Sunlight
Hands down the best drugstore bronzers I’ve tried.  The packaging leaves something to be desired, but the colors are great for contouring or for bronzing and they are long wearing.  They run about $3 a piece.

Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzer Powder
These have OK staying power but not wonderful, but I think the duo was around $3 so you get what you pay for.  The blush shade reminds me of Nars Orgasm or the Balm Hot Mama but is not an exact dupe.  This is a nice duo to own but don’t expect it to last your whole work day.

Milani Soleil Baked Bronzer
I purchased this from Walgreens a couple weeks ago when I was obsessed with getting a Laura Geller baked bronzer.  I tried to talk myself out of it by getting a drugstore “dupe” but was disappointed.  I can pick up lots of the bronzer shade when I swatch this with my finger, but when I try to apply to my face with a brush, I only get the gold flecks on my cheeks.

theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer
A beautiful deep matte bronzer that comes in a wonderfully portable container in its own little sleeve. I love this product and it’s not hard to find within one of the Balm’s many gift sets.

Bare Minerals Warmth
Another beautiful deep, matte shade.  No shimmer or sparkles in this whatsoever.  Gives a wonderfully natural glow.

The Body Shop Cheek Color in 04 Topaz
A deep blush that can be used as a bronzer.  This contains a lot of sparkle and shimmer, so watch out and don’t over apply!

The Body Shop 02 Bronzer
This is very similar product to The Body Shop Cheek Color in Topaz but without the sparkle.  I would compare this product to Bare Minerals Warmth.

Clinique Transparency Bronzer
This is the most versatile, buildable, beautiful color of bronzer I’ve ever tried and comes at the best value.  You can get about 3 years of use out of the enormous container and it’s right around $20.  It’s a very natural shade and builds without looking cakey.  This is pretty much the hero of all of my bronzers.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer
This is a great bronzer, but for how expensive it is, the compact breaks easily and the packaging is a little retro for me.  Although it claims to be matte, there is clearly some shimmer in there.  All in all, a really beautiful option for a bronzer that suits all skin types.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
One of my absolute favorites.  The smell is intoxicating!  Nothing like swiping pure chocolate cocoa beans on your cheeks to make you LOVE applying makeup!  The price is $29 which seems like a rip off when you first look at it, but once you start using it you understand why.  It’s deep and matte but goes on like a dream.

Too Faced Pink Leopard Brightening Bronzer
I would consider this to be more of an illuminator than a straight up bronzer.  This is a gorgeous shade and I wear it often.  One of my favorites!

Clinique Almost Bronzer in Light/Medium
This thing stinks.  It is supposed to be a cross between a powder and a bronzer.  It gives somewhere between sheer to no coverage.  When I originally tried it, I did like it, but it seemed like over time the top layer of the product hardened and it became increasingly harder to get any product on my makeup brush.

Clinique Glow Blush
This is a cream blush, but it is in a bronze shade and I use it for a bronzer/highlighter.  This is one of my favorite makeup choices for lazy days.  If I swipe on a little tinted moisturizer, some of my Glow Blush, some mascara and lip balm, I’m good to go.  It’s easy to wear it for dress up or dress down.  It gives you a perfect wash of color with a little bit of sparkle, but not too much.  Love this product!

Murad Absolute Bronzing Boost SPF 15
This product came in a recent My Glam bag.  It was a little sample that had a pump and to my knowledge was supposed to give a bronze wash of color.  It comes out of the pump a milky brown color, but when you apply it it goes sheer on your skin to the point where you can no longer see it at all.  If I apply more, I just get a murky streak across my skin. Not worth my time to figure out!

So all in all, my “hero” products that I have to have on me 24/7 this time of year (in order of how much I love them):
1.  Clinique Transparency Bronzer
2.  Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
3.  Clinique Glow Blush
4.  Too Faced Pink Leopard Brightening Bronzer
5.  Rimmel Bronzers in Sun Dance and Sun Light
Hope these mini reviews were informative!

Jessica’s Bronzers:
I have many of the same bronzers as Justina does and I think she gave a great overview of the pluses and minuses of each. Here are a few I have that she doesn’t have along with my thoughts. My fave of the ones we both have is the Too Faced Pink Leopard. I love the glow it gives my skin.
1. the Balm Betty Lou Manizer, $20
Although I absolutely love theBalm, this is probably the only product of theirs that I have that doesn’t work for me. The color is just to dark for my light skin. I have tried applying this in numerous ways including a light dusting with a fluffy brush and the color was still too dark. Although with summer coming up, maybe I will have more luck.
2. Wet n Wild Coloricon, $3
Reserve your Cabana: This is a super super light color, I don’t even know how it can qualify as a bronzer. Even with my fair skin, I didn’t see much of a difference in applying this. I also dropped this and it shattered really easily. If you’re looking for a drug store bronzer, I would stick with Rimmel.
Ticket to Brazil: I liked the color of this and the size for this low price point is excellent, although this one also shattered pretty easily. This is a good decent quality bronzer for the price that is going to last you a long time…if you don’t drop it that is!
3. Spray di Sole Liquid Bronzer, $49.99
I love this product! You spray the liquid onto a very soft kabuki brush which is provided and apply this in circles over your face, neck, or body are that you want to have a soft healthy bronzed look. I don’t think this would work on darker skin tones, but it gave me a very soft bronzed look that I love. The application process if fun and it feels great on your skin, your skin will be even softer after application. I pretty much use this daily. The only problem is it can be messy. I just spray the liquid onto the kabuki over a sink.

4. Pop Beauty Sun Bronzer, $26
I just recently purchased this from Ulta less than a week ago. Although I haven’t had the chance to use it extensively, I do really like this product! You swirl the cutest design of 6 different tans, browns, and pinks together. I actually apply this more as a blush. This gives me a rosy bronzy glow that I love. This probably wouldn’t be a choice if you want a darker look, but I do like it is packaged so you could dip your brush in only one of the colors if you wanted to. I like swirling my brush around to pick up all the colors. This is a really nice size bronzer as well. The only downfall is you need to use a softer brush to pick up the product or you will have a lot of excess powder in the container.
5. Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer, $29
I really like this product. The great thing is you know it has good for you ingredients in it. I haven’t tried one Tarte product I didn’t really like and this is no exception. This gives me a perfect dusting of a healthy bronzed color that is perfect for my skin type.
6. Physician’s Formula
Cashmere Wear Ultra Smoothing Bronzer, $14: This is another brand where I pretty much love all their products. This bronzer has a great color to it and a smooth pretty application. There are 4 different colors in the package (which is super adorable) and you swirl it together for the perfect color. I got this on clearance, and although I really like it, I probably wouldn’t pay full price.
Mineral Glow Pearls, $11: I love all of PH’s pearls collection, I have the bronzer, blush, and highlighter colors and I absolutely love them all. This product is a great, I think it is cheaper and better than the one above! If you want to try this brand’s bronzers, I would start with this one.
Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder, $14: Yet another great PH product. I have the Happy booster blush as well and really enjoy this line as well.
Yours in being bronzed,
Jessica
